Publisher's summary

When Leah Hudson moves into her new bungalow in a quiet suburb of Glasgow, she's ready for a fresh start. No more night shifts at the call center. Instead, she'll pour all her energy into her budding Internet business. All seems perfectly idyllic, and she's even starting to connect to her reclusive but attractive neighbor, Matt. But trouble has a habit of finding Leah, and soon she'll find that her new life isn't as quiet and simple as she had hoped.

Matthew Argyle has been keeping to himself ever since developing delusions about turning into a bear against his will. He doesn't even leave the house, except to spend time in his backyard when the neighborhood sleeps. The arrival of a new neighbor, Leah, throws his carefully orchestrated life into a tailspin. He can't ignore the attraction, yet he's unwilling to subject her to his crazy.

One night, everything changes yet again. Matt must decide which is more important: staying in his comfort zone, or coming to the rescue of the woman he's begun to love.

Short and Sweet

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes I would, not only this 4th book but the entire series. I love shifter books and the story line is fascinating. This book was a sweet romance in the continuing story about shifters being hunted down by a human organization. There isn't as much drama as in the first 3 books but was still well written. I also loved the narrator, he had a great voice, really brought the story forth. I love the Scottish brogue and since this story line is about Scottish bears, I wish I could have heard the accent.

Who was your favorite character and why?

As alphas go, Matt was not the usual but he had an excuse, being as he did not know of shifters his whole life. When it came right down to it, he came through to save the day and will be again in the near future.

Which scene was your favorite?

My favorite was the many scenes when he and Leah went back and forth communicating with their computers and phones before actually meeting each other.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I actually loved when he found out his parents were alive and then finally got to see them for the first time since he was kidnapped.

4 New Beginning Stars

I loved book 3 the best, so I wasn’t sure how this book was going to go. But I am here to say I loved it as much if not more than my former favorite.

Leah sure knows how to make a bear sweat, because poor Matthew doesn’t know how to act around her. Or how to feel, or how to make out his feelings for the human who moves in behind him.

I just loved the dynamic between these 2, both hesitant but have this connection they want or need to be together.

But this book also explains about the boy who disappeared in the first novel. And how that all comes about I am not going to let any spoilers come out just that if you read and enjoy the first three books like I did, than you’re going to want to read this book as well.
