Loved This!

Damon and Martel who were high school lovers until he left abruptly to join the Navy leaving no way for her to contact him. She ended up pregnant and alone. She did what she thought was best for their daughter and gave her up. Years later, they run into each other at a wedding and find that their love for each other is just as strong now as it was in high school.
I feel like this book left an opening for another one to follow and I hope it does! I would love to see how their lives turn out especially with Ainsley, the daughter that was given up for adoption.
Great second chance romance by Sharon Hamilton and I can't wait to see what is next!.

2nd chance indeed

I loved this story, Damon and Martel got their second chance at HEA and their chance to meet with Ainsley.
Dealing with a sensitive issue that many teachers might have to potentially face, Martel was lucky to have to support she needed to deal with it. I am glad it resolved in a positive manner for all involved.
It was a hard run for Damon too, being severely injured on the job, but he does make it.
The story is not quite finished yet, so I assume there will be a follow up story. I am looking forward to it.
JD Hart did a wonderful job as usual. Love how emotions come through when needed.

Martel and Damon!

Martel and Damon are finally getting the opportunity to have the future they both deserve with each other but building that future with their very different lives is proving to be a bit of a challenge. She is feeling the emotional stress both with the tribulations she is facing at work, meeting the daughter she gave up as an infant and relocating cross country.

When Damon is sent on a mission he is torn between loyalty to his job and team while wanting to be with the woman he loves as she faces all these challenges alone.

It was great to get an update not only on Martel and Damon but the other characters that we know and love as well. The narrator managed to portray both the emotion and the suspense of the story.

Loved it

I loved how much strength Martel had, with all the issues she had to deal with. I loved the decisions she made, she has so much love for those who aren’t able to care for themselves. It was so hard for Damon when he wasn’t able to be there for her. I loved how it was all resolved. I really enjoyed the narrator, he was able to bring out the characters personalities so well, it was so awesome.

Second Chances!

This is a second chance for Martel and Damon. It is a touch emotional as it involves a child that was given up for adoption. It is a great read/listen. The Sunset SEALs are such a great series of stories! The narrator did a great job bringing this story to life.

Arc review /Audible

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. Damon is navy seal team 3 with girlfriend martel who has a daughter from their past that she gave up for adoption but now getting to know while both are going through stuff .I only thing I don't like about these characters is she's needs to tell him more what is happening to her and he needs to ask more questions even though his job seems more important. Fantastic story

Absolutely brilliant story.

The relationship between Damon and Martel is sweet but has a touch
of sadness to it .
They had a relationship quite a few years ago which resulted in a daughter
that Martel adopted and Damon new nothing about.
That is just the background to there relationship years ago.
Martel was meeting her daughter for the first time Damon was getting ready
for a mission as you can guess not everything ran smoothly for either one of them.
The journey they both have to travel for their happy ending is very believable.
The narrator has done a brilliant job of bringing the characters alive a makes them
interesting.
