Second Chances

Second Chance SEAL by Sharon Hamilton is the story of Damon Hamblin and Martel Long. Damon is a Navy SEAL who met Martel when they were teens. Damon was Martel's first love, but Damon was restless and wanted to prove himself, so he left to join the Navy, leaving Martel shattered, and unknown to Damon pregnant with his baby.
Fast forward 10 years and we meet Damon in Florida to attend a friend's wedding where he finds that one of the bride's friends is none other than Martel. She has nothing to say to him at first, but he manages to get her alone long enough to apologize for leaving, and for not getting in touch with her.
In the years since they last saw each other, Damon married and is waiting for his divorce to be finalized from his cheating wife. Meanwhile, Martel had a baby girl, and made the painful decision to put her up for adoption, as she had no way of supporting the baby. She went on to become a teacher and now makes her home in Florida. Both Damon and Martel have secrets and painful things in their pasts. Their feelings for each other are still there, but matters need to be resolved, and truths need to be told.Once again, Sharon Hamilton has a winner. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and would recommend it to anyone who loves SEALS and the women they love.

Damon is a Navy SEAL whose marriage has just ended which is how he and a teammate finds themselves in Florida to enjoy their love and attend the wedding of one his teammates friends. What he was not expecting was to run into the first woman he ever loved and whose heart he broke when he left to join the Navy without telling her or contacting her again.

Even though it’s been a decade Martel was devastated when Damon left. She has created a new life for herself but from the moment she sees him all the pain and memories of the past come rushing back. He wants a second chance but will he be able to convince her that he is not he man who hurt her and what about the secret she holds?

This is a story about forgiveness, healing and second chances. I received a complimentary copy of the audiobook and enjoyed the performance of the narrator.

Funny, sweet, sexy, and heartwarming. It's about rediscovery and making peace with past decisions.

The narrator did a good job bringing the story to life.

This was a good listen and a good addition to the series. I give the story 5 stars and narration 4 stars.

Holy hotness this book was absolutely fantastic and you will fall in love with this book and Martel and Damian. jd hart is fantastic. Damian is in Florida for a wedding and dealing with his upcoming divorce when He sees the only woman he's ever loved but what happens when he finds out her secret?

Fantastic

I just love second chance stories. The idea of going back to someone you foolishly walked away from and getting a chance to recreate that love. Sharon Hamilton told the story so well.

What a Roller Coaster

I could not believe all the emotions that poured out of me as I listened to this book. Amazing story Sharon and a narration by JD that brings the story to life. Highly recommend if I could have gave it higher that a five star I would have.

Second Chance...

I really like Sharon Hamilton’s books, but this wasn’t a favorite. The SEALs seemed immature and there were unresolved details that just left me wondering and kept me from loving it.

Second Chance: Forgiveness and Redemption

Second Chance SEAL is exactly what the story is about. Damon Hamblin left Martel Long 10 years ago with a word that he joined the Navy to become a SEAL. He married the wrong woman and now that he is about to become a newly divoree, he realized that Martel was and is the woman for him. The question is, will Martel give him a second chance.

Martel has a secret that may destroy her and Damon's happiness even if she give Damon a second chance.

Second Chance SEAL is wonderful second chance story. Damon really worked very hard to redeem himself to Martel. It is a wonderful story of redemption and forgiveness.

The narrator, JD Hart is narrator that one will get used to. His voice grows on the listeners. I'm willing to listen to another book he narrated.
