Publisher's summary

When Aquila Robinson and her friend Naomi find a magical ring at the bottom of a stony creek, strange things begin to happen. The sound of shuffling feet emerges from the woods, followed closely by a low moaning, "brraaaiiinnsss", that sends the girls running and begins an adventure that could only come from the mind of a seven-year-old author.

Septic Zombie is the first story written by home-schooled seven year old Aquila Robinson (the real Aquila). With the help of her father (best-selling author Jeremy Robinson), Aquila has written and released this book, which she dictated to her father. Every word is hers, though she did work with an editor (mostly to fix Dad's typos). She even contacted the authors below and asked them to read the book - these are real endorsements!

About the author: Aquila Robinson is a seven-year-old homeschooler with aspirations of being an author like her father, Jeremy Robinson. She also aspires to owning her own restaurant, something she and her friends experienced by turning the house into a restaurant complete with waitresses, chefs, hostesses, and real paying customers. Septic Zombie, like the restaurant, is an extension of her creative, child-led homeschooling.

Critic reviews

"Zombies, magic rings, UFOs, and aliens.... Aquila Robinson's story Septic Zombie is something I would have written, if I'd been as brave as a seven-year-old girl. A story for the ages... for all the ages!" (James Rollins, New York Times best-selling author of The Devil Colony)
"I LOVE this! Aquila is a fierce talent with a wildly inventive mind. She is going to push her father and me out of the book business one of these days." (Jonathan Maberry, New York Times best-selling author of Assassin's Code and Dust & Decay)
"Aquila Robinson has a soaring imagination and sense of wonder-just like her dad. She also has a wickedly sharp sense of humor. Septic Zombie is a whole lot of fun. Keep an eye on this young author." (Kane Gilmour, Author of Resurrect and Callsign: Deep Blue)

Funny, BRILLIANT child author!

Where to begin- Zombie stories are my favorite. So needless to say, I've read many. While even though some zombie stories are predictable, I still thoroughly enjoy them. Now Septic Zombie is completely original! A ballerina zombie? How original! Rock star zombie? Brilliant! This young lady ( she's SEVEN ?!?!!!) has talent and she will be on MY watch list.
Anyone care to start a fan club :)

Great Reading by Bray

Impressive for a seven year old. I would have thought my teen wrote it. Entertaining short story for the whole family. We loved the sound effects too. Well done!

Best Zombie story Ever!

Let me start by saying that I am a dad. It's the best thing by far that I've ever been. I've also been a husband, a Sergeant First Class in the Army, a Union Carpenter and a Huge Zombie nut. I've watched every zombie flick, TV show, read every Zombie Apocalypse book I could get my hands on to include the Arizen series, and the Mountain Man series. This story had me absolutely grinning ear to ear. It made me feel like a kid again.
Thank You, Aquila.

PS. Tell your dad he'd better build that fence fast, 'cause it looks like you're getting a dog very soon.

Brilliant original zombie story

This young lady, who happens to be the daughter of Jeremy Robinson, has more hutzpha getting published at age 7 than most of us. (at any age) Great unique story from the unhindered mind of a young person. Keep up the good work Aquila. I want to read more of your works someday, (possibly a Septic Zombie II ) and watch out Jeremy, you have new competition. P.S. scoring Bob to narrate is a tour de force and puts you in great company.

Fun little story

Very fun short story. I listened to this with my 10 year old grandson and we enjoyed it. Both left with smiles at the end.

What a great story!!!!

This book is solid. It has everything. Suspense, action, mystery, and character development. I'm going to share it for sure. Keep up the good work and I can't wait for the next one.

So much fun

This short story is perfect for kids and adults alike. I actually laughed out loud at parts. The illustrations go really well with the story and I think kids will get a huge kick out of them. I look forward to introducing my nephews to this book, which is the biggest complement I can give, I think they will love it.

R.C.Bray was a surprising choice for this story but after listening to it, he was a perfect choice. Rock-Star Zombie has to be my favourite.

All i can say is,... WOW!!!!

I haven't had so much fun reading a story in a very long time. i felt as if the Author personally gave me permission to just sit back, relax and enjoy the ride. it was like closing your eyes on a roller coaster for the first time, not having a clue as to which turn was next. I laughed at loud on several occasions and wrote a silly grin for the test of it. I Absolutely loved this book and sincerely hope miss Robinson doesn't wait too long for her next book. And Aquila, when you get a chance, give the old man a few pointers.
