Publisher's summary

How could a tour to exotic Belize be simple with a guide like this? Think Hercule Poirot, James Bond, and Rick Steves in one body. The guide's considerable talents are displayed when his tour group is targeted by a terrorist group who wants to discredit the government by killing tourists.

David is assisted by Winnie, a young Chinese stunner who is always a favorite with his tour groups. She is always hit on by male members and not a few female members. It is rumored that David won her in a poker game in Bangkok. Their relationship is a bit of a mystery.

David and Winnie thwart the terrorists while leading the tour group to Mayan ruins, tropical rainforests, and an inviting selection of hotel terrace bars, the focus and gathering place for most tour members.

Extremely bad

I read the bad reviews before listening this, but since I was planning a trip to Belize I decided to give it a chance. Honestly, 90% of the story it’s just unlikable character sketches pretending to be relevant…quite specific in some cases, but used towards no particular goal. In the end — with a race to a last minute attempt at a plot right out of ScoobyDoo — all earlier suspicions are true that absolutely nothing happens or hangs together to call this a good story.
