Messy Amnesia Romance

The plot of Shattered Secrets is very good. Hudson and Hadleigh are soulmates. Hudson is a defense lawyer with a past and connections to the mob. Hadleigh had an abusive ex-husband, which is how Hudson and Hadleigh met. Four years ago, Hadleigh’s world came crashing down when Hudson disappeared. Hadleigh was left pregnant and without answers, with people lying to her. Four years later, Hudson is found alive but without his memories, living in a small town. Hadleigh had to fight for her husband and to find out who hurt him.

The romance was gorgeous. Neither forgot about each other or moved on. Their chemistry was palpable. The plot was well done! I love the suspense plot as they tried to piece together who the villain really was. The angst and messiness made this book bingeable.

I liked this story, though it dragged a bit towards the end. Narration was good.

This book had an awesome plot and even better narration. I really liked it especially the alpha possessive. I would totally recommend this book and am looking forward to another book in series or even by this author.

My favorite amnesia story!!!

When Lilian hinted at writing this I couldn't wait to read it. When I read it I was consumed by Hadleigh and Hudson's story. Then she said it was going to be an audio and I was finally able to listen to it. As with all of her other audios...this one is perfection.

Listening to an amnesia story is totally different than reading one especially with Lilly Drake and Aaron Shedlock giving life to Hadleigh and Hudson. Lilly is a new narrator to me and my goodness she is so good. Hadleigh goes through many obstacles in this story and Ms. Drake delivered them all perfectly. When the time came that she had to read the male POV she didn't miss a beat. Her voice is soothing and innocent sounding which is totally Hadleigh's character. I definitely plan to listen to more from her.

Hearing Aaron Shedlock in a darker story doesn't happen very often for me, he is usually in a small town contemporary romance but this man excels with the darker stories/characters. A few times there he legit has a growl to what he is saying. With a handful of different male POVs to portray he did very well at changing each voice so that I never questioned who was actually talking. He is the perfect Hudson!

Good heavens....Hudson and Hadleigh for the freaking win! Lilian started teasing us with this story months ago and I felt like I would never get it in my hands. Then I did and was completely blown away by the beauty of the story that was written within a tragedy. I know there are so many books with soulmates but if ever there was the epitome of soulmates it is Hudson and Hadleigh. Even amnesia cannot keep these two apart. Very few books I have read have a connection that goes so incredibly deep but this is one of them. I am talking marrow of their bones deep, beyond their soul deep.

There are 1,000 and more things I want to say about these two but so much of it involves spoilers of some form and I just cannot ruin this for anyone. The plot twists thrown around had my heart literally pounding at times and I had to stop and calm myself down. Tears galore flowed from my eyes. We are graced with characters from the Messina Crime family and they made the story all the better.

Hadleigh does not even comprehend what it means to give up. That woman has the strength of an entire army inside of her. The chemistry between I seriously could not get over the how beautifully this was written. Lilian has delivered a masterpiece with Shattered Secrets.

Once again this oh so talented author has blown me away with her creativity, her emotional punches, her wickedly delicious twists, her evil mindfkery and her ability to grab my attention from the start. And, in Hudson and Hadleigh’s beautiful yet heartbreakingly tragic love story, their deeply emotional rollercoaster and second chance spans four long years of hope for her missing husband and the deep love she knows in her heart isn’t dead. When he’s found she fights for their love, for their son, for their old life.. and even for a new beginning. Then slowly the mystery behind her husband's disappearance and amnesia starts to unravel into a sinister suspenseful shocking tale that ends in bloodshed.

Worth a credit? Yes, it’s heartachingly addictive with strong characters, sadness, sweetness, a sense of family, a soul-mate bond nothing can break. It’s also deeply emotional, with no cheating, but with dirty talk, a bit of sex, evil twisted enemies.. and so much more. And the excellent voice acting by Aaron and Lilly brings the characters, their feels and their riveting rollercoaster to life.

I LOVED this book! The first book I read by Lilian Harris and I plan to read her entire back list. Hudson and Hadleigh are soulmates I love their love story so much. I highly recommend the audio, the narrators did amazing!

Fantastic!

I loved it! I have been asking LH about when the audio would be released, she responded, and I pre-ordered when it was time. Then I got so scared to listen I waited a couple of days.

Hudson and Hadleigh loved each other so much and it was heartbreaking and then LH mended our hearts back together.

It had spicy dirty talk, an excellent storyline, and a full circle ending!!

Frustrating but in the Best Way

Aaron's performance was so good! 75% of this book was pure heartbreak, but worth the HEA at the end!
