Story
Nothing Is Missing is a riveting, unputdownable story of what it takes to show up for yourself—and the joy that can come once you do. Raised in a home where food was unstable and anger was the norm, Nicole learned early that she needed to take charge of her own safety and security. So she did: She got into an elite private school by talking to a stranger in her dad’s cab, she strategized her way onto Wheel of Fortune to pay for college, she adopted three girls after meeting their mother panhandling, she quit her job to launch her own business, and she struggled.

What would it be like to live in a well-rested world? Far too many of us have claimed productivity as the cornerstone of success. Brainwashed by capitalism, we subject our bodies and minds to work at an unrealistic, damaging, and machine‑level pace—feeding into the same engine that enslaved millions into brutal labor for its own relentless benefit. In Rest Is Resistance, Tricia Hersey, aka the Nap Bishop, casts an illuminating light on our troubled relationship with rest and how to imagine and dream our way to a future where rest is exalted.

Most of us believe that we will finally feel satisfied and content with our lives when we get the good news we have been waiting for, find a healthy relationship, or achieve one of our personal goals. However, this rarely happens. Good fortune is often followed by negative emotions that overtake us and result in destructive behaviors.

In 2010, Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger released a photo-sharing app called Instagram, with one simple but irresistible feature: It would make anything you captured look more beautiful. The cofounders cultivated a community of photographers and artisans around the app, and it quickly went mainstream. In less than two years, it caught Facebook’s attention: Mark Zuckerberg bought the company for a historic one billion dollars when Instagram had only 13 employees.

Publisher's summary
Hustle culture isn’t working for women.
If you’ve ever . . .
- had too many things to do and not enough time to do them
- lost focus of your priorities and questioned your lack of motivation or drive
- believed that if you slowed down, your business would fail and the life you have worked so hard to create would crumble . . .
you’re not alone. Entrepreneur, bestselling author, and business coach Jadah Sellner knows what it’s like to be burned out, in debt, and just barely holding on to a new business. In the process of launching and building multiple companies, she realized today’s aggressive 24/7 hustle culture wasn’t working for her—or for her clients.
In She Builds, Sellner shares a new entrepreneurial model for women, centered on sustainable leadership—a practical framework they can use to create a business on their own terms, prioritize their well-being, and break free from the toxic culture that leads to burnout.
She Builds rests on four essential principles of L.O.V.E.:
LEAD: Define “enough” and surround yourself with the support you need to build a business that lasts.
OPTIMIZE: Learn tangible strategies for focusing on what matters to help you and your business thrive.
VISUALIZE: Create a clear yet flexible twelve-month road map that turns your dreams into reality.
EXPAND: Develop a solid foundation for growth and longevity without losing yourself in the process.
Stepping back isn’t a failure; it’s a strategy. Sellner reminds us that we need to lead with love in life and business, starting with ourselves and moving outward to our families, our teams, our communities, and the customers we serve. Filled with inspiring personal stories, case studies, interactive exercises, and real-world advice, She Builds will help you grow your business and have time to enjoy your life, too.

Careers are not linear, predictable ladders any longer; they are fluid trajectories. No matter our age, life stage, bank account balance, or seniority, we are all being asked to navigate career changes much more frequently than in years past. The average employee tenure in America is just four to five years, and even those roles change dramatically within that time. Our economy now demands that we create businesses and careers based on creativity, growth, and impact. In this dynamic world of work, the only move that matters is your next one.

Story
Meant for More is the rare personal development book that offers tangible skills for all areas of your life, including work, to increase your success while also doing good - a How to Win Friends and Influence People for the modern age. It shows you how to stand out in an increasingly noisy world by simply offering your unique skills and talents and helping others do the same. It speaks to people looking to leave the 9-to-5 for more freedom and fulfillment; stay-at-home moms going back to work; young Boomers worried they're too senior (and expensive) to find new jobs.

Negotiations are incredibly stressful and can bring out the worst in people. Wouldn’t it be better if there were a principled way to negotiate? Wouldn’t it be even better if there were a way to treat people fairly and get treated fairly in a negotiation? Split the Pie offers a new approach that does both—a field-tested method that reframes how negotiations play out. Barry Nalebuff, a professor at Yale School of Management, helps identify what’s really at stake in a negotiation: the “pie.” The negotiation pie is the additional value created through an agreement to work together.

Since Copernicus, humanity has increasingly seen itself as adrift, an insignificant speck within a large, cold universe. Brazilian physicist, astronomer, and winner of the 2019 Templeton Prize Marcelo Gleiser argues that we’re using the wrong paradigm to relate to the universe and our position in it. In this deeply researched and beautifully rendered book, he calls for us to embrace a new life-centric perspective, one which recognizes just how rare and precious life is and why it should be our mission to preserve and nurture it.

How We Do It is an anthology curated by Black writers for the creation and proliferation of Black thought. While a creator’s ethnicity does not solely define them, it is inherently part of who they are and how they interpret the world. For centuries, Black creators have utilized oral and written storytelling traditions in crafting their art. But how does one begin the process of constructing a poem or story or character? How do Black writers, when faced with questions of “authenticity,” dive deep into the essence of their lives and work to find the inherent truth?

Thanks so much for this jewel, Jadah!
Jadah, I just wanted to say thank you again. I can't find the words to express what your book has done for me in the last couple of weeks (and I am not even done yet). It's funny because even though the book was mainly written for women, it spoke so directly to me. As a freelancer/entrepreneur dad and husband with bipolar disorder fighting to grow my business while trying to be present and deal with mental health your book has been a breath of fresh air. I haven't felt like that since I read Company of one, but with all respect to Paul, your book has surpassed it. Your values & story align so much with what I believe, that it feels weird hehe. Now I want to get the physical book because there are so many actionable steps in the book that the audiobook is falling short. I was listening to it at the gym this morning and I thought "if I put this to practice in 2023 alone - no other books or courses or advice - I could be living my ideal life sooner".
Once again thanks a lot, and I hope that even though I can't find the true words, you will understand how meaningful your work is!!!! Congrats!!! God bless you!

A Warm Hug from Jadah
This book was exactly what I needed in this moment. I had a very busy and "successful" 2022, so hearing her words about being a slow cooker and taking time for yourself since your businesses needs you to be your best self - perfectly stated for a downshift to a more sustainable mindset.
Jadah reads this herself, and you can hear her passion for women's well-beings. I can see myself re-listening to this audio book when I feel overwhelm creeping back in and need to have someone tell me it's ok to grow your business at your pace.
Highly recommend for women that are feeling burnout or are trying to "balance" too many things.

Full of heart and authenticity
I first heard Jadah speak at the World Domination Summit in 2014. I loved her presentation and have gone back to re-listen to it from time to time. When I saw she had a book coming out I quickly snapped it up.
I found her style to be approachable, realistic, and very authentic. She covered many of the topics I've been speaking and writing about for years, but she was able to funnel the information in a way that completely flowed.
I recommended She Builds for a Book Chat at HAYVN co-working that I'm a part of. Jadah joined us via Zoom for the event and was a big hit. Her heart really shines through brightly!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I feel so empowered. I feel like I can start a business and still be a mom. I feel like I can do both without feeling burned out or like I’m failing at both. This book gave me so many strategies to prevent burnout, manage my time, start my own business and still have time for my family. I highly recommend this book at anyone who wants to start their own business. Thank you so much for sharing your insights Jadah!
