About this listen
Reece stood and faced the group. "Every now and then we get a break from reality. A glimpse into the other world that is more real than the reality we live in 99 percent of our days. The Bible is about a world of demons and angels and great evil and even greater glory. A world the prophets saw; the world Enoch and Elijah and Paul and John the apostle all saw. A world that is all around us in every moment if we would have eyes to see and ears to hear."
What if you could travel inside another person’s soul? To battle for them. To be part of Jesus healing their deepest wounds.Thirty years ago that’s exactly what Reece Roth did. Until tragedy shattered his life and ripped away his destiny.
Now God has drawn Reece out of the shadows to fulfill a prophecy spoken over him three decades ago. A prophecy about four warriors with the potential to change the world...if Reece will face his deepest regret and train them. They gather at a secluded and mysterious ranch deep in the mountains of Colorado, where they will learn to see the spiritual world around them with stunning clarity. And how to step into the supernatural as powerfully as anyone in the Bible did.
The four have a destiny to battle for a freedom even Reece doesn’t fully fathom. But they have an enemy hell-bent on destroying them as and he'll stop at nothing to keep them from their quest for true freedom and the coming battle of souls.

Knowledge is power. That would be the motto of Lander University, had it not been snatched up and used to death by others long before the school was founded. For while Lander offers a full range of courses to nearly all students, it also offers a small number of specialty classes to a very select few. Lander is home to the Hero Certification Program, a curriculum designed to develop students with superhuman capabilities, commonly known as Supers, into official Heroes.

It begins on the shaded town square in a sleepy Southern town. A spirited seven-year-old has a brisk business at her lemonade stand. But the little girl’s pretty yellow dress can’t quite hide the ugly scar on her chest. Her latest customer, a bearded stranger, drains his cup and heads to his car, his mind on a boat he's restoring at a nearby lake. The stranger understands more about the scar than he wants to admit. And the beat-up bread truck careening around the corner with its radio blaring is about to change the trajectory of both their lives.

Let me tell you all I know for sure. My name. Shauna. I woke up in a hospital bed missing six months of my memory. In the room was my loving boyfriend - how could I have forgotten him? - my uncle and my abusive stepmother. Everyone blames me for the tragic car accident that left me near death and my dear brother brain damaged. But what they say can't be true - can it? I believe the medicine is doing strange things to my memory. I'm unsure who I can trust and who I should run from. And I'm starting to remember things I've never known. Things not about me. I think I'm going crazy.

Chava is a golem, a creature made of clay, brought to life by a strange man who dabbles in dark Kabbalistic magic. When her master dies at sea on the voyage from Poland, she is unmoored and adrift as the ship arrives in New York Harbor. Ahmad is a jinni, a being of fire, born in the ancient Syrian Desert. The ancient Toltecs believed that life, as we perceive it, is a dream. We each live in our own personal dream, and these come together to form the dream of the planet, or the world in which we live. Problems arise when our perception of the dream becomes clouded with negativity, drama, and judgment (of ourselves and others), because it's in these moments of suffering that we have forgotten that we are the architects of our own reality and we have the power to change our dream if we choose.

Story
Just before Christmas in 1843, a debt-ridden and dispirited Charles Dickens wrote a small book he hoped would keep his creditors at bay. His publisher turned it down, so Dickens used what little money he had to put out A Christmas Carol himself. He worried it might be the end of his career as a novelist. The book immediately caused a sensation. And it breathed new life into a holiday that had fallen into disfavor, undermined by lingering Puritanism and the cold modernity of the Industrial Revolution.

Story
The 10 enlightening (and often humorous) lectures of Medieval Myths and Mysteries will show you how far from the “dark” times of legend these centuries were. Uncover the facts about the Knights Templar. Reveal the truth behind the tales of legendary creatures like the Questing Beast and the unicorn. Trace the events of the Black Death and the ways it altered the world in its wake, and much more. With Professor Armstrong, you will dig deep into the ways that later generations reshaped the narrative of the medieval years and perpetuated the myths.

Very thought provoking!
this book was right up there with Frank Perreti's works! Reminds us that what we see is not all there is. The spiritual side of us and this world is very much alive in each of us and around us. Loved the Author's notes at end too!

Fun and inspiring
I am familiar with prayer, spiritual warfare and listening to the voice of God. Though Soul's Gate is not perfectly accurate (jumping into people's souls etc), it will challenge your faith to believe for more and inspire you to dive in deeper into the Lord, and the overcoming life that is in store for you in Christ.

Overall good story - dialogue was a bit weak
The story is very interesting concepts and really gets you thinking. My only complaint is the dialogue seemed a little juvenile, particularly with the rock star.

Eye-Opening and Encouraging
This book was incredibly hopeful and encouraging to me and my walk with Jesus. Do all these miraculously spiritual things really happen? Maybe. Could be. I believe so. Nothing is impossible with God. I love all the scriptural references. The story alone is captivating and takes you along on a journey through understanding that we are not just flesh and blood. We are all on a double journey of living out physical lives with family, friends, vocations, hobbies, etc. And we are also spiritual beings bought by the blood of Jesus, on a mission to share God with the world and fight battles in the spiritual realm along the way.
This book was fun and entertaining and stirred my soul at the same time.
