Now that more schools are leaving out spelling, many are left with the inability to read well and think. It is our hope that this audiobook will help your child to not only experience more success in language arts, but also in the ability to analyze and problem solve throughout their lives, giving them a sense of confidence and independence that sloppy thinking just can’t.

According to edutopia, solid research has shown that spelling instruction has improved performance in reading fluency and comprehension. It even showed that the practice of spelling helps the child's ability to read more than reading helps their spelling. In fact, it is so helpful in development that there is a strong connection between the ability to spell with ease and writing with eloquence. Fluent handwriting skills and being able to spell easily sets the foundation for children to be able to construct written work.

This book provides 11 weeks of four days of practice, with a fifth day to see what they have learned.

I have been intentional in the speed used for this book, but please speed the recording up or down to better match your child's ability. We will work in weeks of mostly 15 words. Each list can take between 10-30 minutes to complete, depending on the child and speed. You can break up this audiobook to fit your child’s needs in building spelling and grammar confidence.

For children who struggle with sensory issues, we have found there is far less resistance by letting them use a whiteboard and dry erase markers.
