About this listen

Ryder

When I quit the biggest boy band on the planet, I was supposed to get my life back.

It's not that I wanted to leave the spotlight. I felt like I had to for my daughter. Her picture shouldn't be splashed all over the tabloids. I thought I could do this parenting thing on my own, but it's obvious I need help. I just didn't expect to find it in the form of a gorgeous guy I meet by chance. I can put my attraction aside for my daughter's sake. I've put my whole life on hold for her.

If only he wasn't so tempting.

Lyric

Working as a nanny is my backup to my backup plan. My first plan is fame, but something always holds me back. When I randomly run into Ryder Kennedy and end up becoming his daughter's nanny, I figure it'll be a short-term thing. But then Ryder finds out I can sing. He wasn't ready to give up music, and now he's found a new way to have it: through me. He wants to produce my demo and make me a star. He says I was born to be in the spotlight, but I think I was born to run from it.

It doesn't help that each day I'm with him and his daughter, the deeper I fall into fantasies of being part of their family. And not just as the nanny.

Contains mature themes.

Enjoyed this way more than I thought I would.

Toma’s narration is great and this couple is so lovable. Harley’s book was good but this one was better in my opinion.

A real winner

I have enjoyed this book so much. Kayleigh has stolen my heart. Lyric and Ryder are just perfect together. Their chemistry is off the charts. And Maggie is the perfect momma for Kayleigh. I highly recommend this book.

Great Listen!

Ryder and Lyric were really great together. I loved their early banter which carried throughout the book and they seemed to compliment eachother so well. Also I loved the little family they made together with Kaylee and even Maggie and the moments with his nephew as well. This was a really enjoyable listen, Iggy Toma per usual did a fantastic job bringing the characters to life and it also was a great introduction to the series and made me want to check out more of this series.

Really enjoyed this one!

I really enjoyed this one! I loved getting to know Ryder and his little girl, who is his whole world. He is trying to do the right things for his little one but is struggling with his fame that seems to keep interrupting their outings and the preschool he enrolled her in for socialization is not going well. She has been bitten multiple times and so he is ready to pull her. He runs into Lyric who is watching his nephew at the play structure as well and Ryder overhears him telling his nephew that Eleven sucks, Ryder's old boy band. Then the 2 kids have a run in and they deal with that and Lyric knows who Ryder is. When people figure out who he is and paparazzi show up Lyric helps them get out as painlessly as possible and offers to nanny for Ryder. He is an aspiring singer/songwriter but has taken classes and knows what he is doing in watching the kids. I enjoyed the way that Ryder and Lyric build their relationship. It is on the slower side with them getting to know each other before anything happens. I had a lot of fun reading this one. It held my attention the entire time and I loved the interactions and dynamics that we got and loved getting to see more of Harley at times as well. I'm excited for the next book in the series.

Going to but the next one. Was disappointed that it didn’t leave off from the last book. But I’m glad it didn’t.

Ryder and Lyric are a cute story.

I do enjoy low angst stories especially if one is not out yet. They way these two meet and come together was adorable. The artist want to be and the other who was in a boy band. Coming together to make a family is a heart warming story with the pull of wanting what they feel but not sure on how to get there. Bring Harley in helps with the low angst for the draw.

Great book 2 in this series

I listened to the audiobook. This continues the series of the ex Eleven boy band. Ryder left the very poplar Eleven to become a father to a sweet little girl Kaylee. After a chance meeting of Lyric, and Lyric dishing on boy bands, he becomes Kaylee's nanny. Love slowly grows between the two as they accept each other as true people, not famous people. Lots of drama with Kaylee's mother and Lyric's music career, but it ends in a HEA.
