First Half of Youth Adventure Series

This is the first four books in the Adventures in Wild Space series about Lina and Milo Graf (a noted family in Star Wars history). Lina and Milo's parents are prospectors who are kidnapped by the Empire while the children were out exploring for their knowledge of locations. They have left important data with their droid. The children set out to rescue them, following clues and looking for help across several planets having dangerous adventures with the Empire, local criminals, a dangerous beast and bounty hunter to name a few. Please note that the last book ends on a cliffhanger to be concluded in the next series of books 4-6. The wonderful January LaVoy handles narration and voices beautifully. Star Wars fans should enjoy this. Please note, this is a Brilliance audio production, so there are no sound effects or music. Those are included in the Random House Audio productions for the adult Star Wars books.

definitely geared toward kids

I only got this because I have the books on my shelf from a bulk buy and I wanted an easy read. I don't know that I would recommend. good things: is clean, it had ties with unexplored characters from the rebels show, and has decent writing.

Love the tie-ins to other stories/characters

This series of stories is obviously aimed at kids, but it features a lot of the alien species from the original trilogy, and ties in with stories from the Rebels television series and hints at other stuff like Kessel (from the Solo movie). So it's fun for adult fans too. It takes place very shortly after Anakin's fall to the dark side and the rise of the Empire...because Ezra is a baby...so about 18 or 19 years before A New Hope.

No music or sound effects?!

The story and narration were both superb but there's no music or sound effects like I've grown accustomed to with all other Star Wars books.
