In a stunning turn of events, Luke Skywalker and his son, Ben, joined forces with members of the Sith armada sent to kill them - and turned their combined might against the monstrous being Abeloth. But with Abeloth gone, the Sith reverted to form, making a treacherous attempt on Luke's life.
Luke and Ben have no time for retaliation. A new and even more insidious threat is rising. Unless the Skywalkers survive to sound the alarm, the galaxy will suffer as it has never suffered before. But the reinforcements they need remain grounded on Coruscant, where the political battle of wills between the Jedi Council and Galactic Alliance Chief of State Natasi Daala has reached a boiling point.
Now Luke and Ben must go on the run, taking along the inscrutable - and dangerous - Sith apprentice Vestara Khai. With a host of Sith warriors in hot pursuit, the Skywalkers soon find themselves trapped on the moon Pydyr, caught between their former allies and a mob of angry Fallanassi. A new truce may be their only hope.

Mesmerizing Story!
This book puts the reader in the edge of their seat.at every turn. the trial, the Maw, the GA, Dallah, and the happening with the Jedi and the revolts build up for a great finish in the next few books! can't wait to see how this goes!

Would you consider the audio edition of Star Wars: Fate of the Jedi: Vortex to be better than the print version?
Certainly...by far..
Who was your favorite character and why?
Hard to say cause the reader did so many great voices and imitation of character in the Movie version of star Wars... I guess I like the HIgh lord Sith lord. He did a great Lando Calloresian.

A 5 start performance,The story had 5 star production values all the way,listening to it was better than watching the Movie, thanks to the reader,and production values.
The reason I didn't give it 5 all the way arcoss is because is part of a series,so it would be nice to have listened to the previous stories to understand better than what is going on in this one..
It a relatively small story, about 14 hours... ,Too bad Audible couldn't bundle other parts in this series these together and sell them for 1 or 2 credits. It would be well worth it..
I found this story CD in a second hand book store , it was inexpensive.

definitely one of my favorite titles in the fate of the Jedi so far idk why but hans grand daughter is my favorite character she's really like her grandparents I enjoyed Luke and bens journey the fights the story was very well written and Marc Thompson stellar job.

Fun series
Great series. Totally gets my mind of work during my commutes. If you have not listened to the series start from the books right after the return of the jedi. you will be hooked!

Great Novel!!!
This book series is the first Star Wars novel series I have ever read and it is one of the best novel series I have ever read period. This novel is no exception. Great voice acting and excellent narration. Definitely recommend this book and the entire series to anyone looking for a great adventure novel.
