Story
Do you dare step through the red door? Spencer Grant had no idea what drew him to the bar with the red door. He thought he would just sit down, have a slow beer or two, and talk to a stranger. He couldn’t know that it would lead to a narrow escape from a bungalow targeted by a SWAT team. Or that it would leave him a wanted man. But now Spencer is on the run from mysterious and ruthless men. He is in love with a woman he knows next to nothing about. And he is hiding from a past he can’t fully remember.

Story
Best-selling novelist Cullen "Cubby" Greenwich is a lucky man and he knows it. He makes a handsome living doing what he enjoys. His wife, Penny, a children's book author and illustrator, is the love of his life. Together they have a brilliant six-year-old, Milo, affectionately dubbed "Spooky," and a non-collie named Lassie, who's all but part of the family. So Cubby knows he shouldn't let one bad review of his otherwise triumphant new book get to him.

Wonderful story.
This was the longest Dean Koontz book I have ever listened to. All have been good, but Strangers is the best. With 46 minutes to go, I worried about how it would end. Well worth the time to listen.

This is an unabridged version
First, this is unabridged. If you like detail about detail this is for you.
Second- I love Koontz books but this is not one of his finest. Predictable and very anticlimactic ending for a 24 hour build up.
Looking for good Koontz books? I loved “watchers” and it’s counterpart.

One of my favorite Koontz books
I am listening to every Koontz book this year. Re-listening should I say. This is one of my favorites. This is scary stuff. The mind control aspect is not just fiction and makes you wonder if the men in black stuff is real.

A Bit Too long
The story is good but there seemed to be a lot of “filler” and excess background that made for tedious listening. A couple of hours shorter and it would have made more impact. Probably not my favorite effort by one of my favorite authors. Kudos to Dick Hill.

This book is very addicting.
Any additional comments?
I love this book. A very complex story. Really well written characters. Sucks you in and doesn't let you go till the end.

pure gold
Story was one of best this type of stories i have watched, read or listened. sound quality and narrators voice made it hard for me to hear/understand some words or sentences and i had to jump back often to listen some parts again. Thats why only 4 star overall.
