About this listen

The last thing a Necromancer expects is to be brought back from the dead....

After fulfilling the duty all Arch Necromancers are tasked with, the last thing Sylver Sezari expected was to be reborn. He was usually the one reanimating dead things. How ironic.

But reborn he was.

And after crawling his way back into the land of the living, he finds himself a strange land, a strange time, and with a strange floating screen in front of his new face.

Either through plan or chance, he’s alive again, and planning to enjoy himself to his heart's content.

Don't miss the start of this LitRPG adventure about a reincarnated necromancer growing in power and finding his way in a new world where the rules have changed vastly since he last "lived".

About the series: With equal parts humor and dark sorcery action, expect loads of skill progression, deep worldbuilding, and unforgettable characters in this story which had nearly 10 million views on Royal Road. Now completely revised and reedited for Kindle and Audible.

I seriously loved Sylver's storyline!

I really didn't expect to like this book, 'cause the MC, Sylver is a necromancer. However I found that Sylver is a personable young (?) man, at least from the eye of the beholder. And I seriously loved Sylver's storyline. He embraces who he is and stays true to his word. Even going above and beyond what's necessary inorder to protect those he holds dear, without mother-henning anybody.
This is the story of how he was brought back from death to inhabit the body of Seige an apprentice blacksmith.
Although I've only listened to Garrett Michael Brown a couple of times I found his voice talents to be exemplary.

Its ok

Like the story. Didn't care for the MC. He is kind of preachy, and little hypocritical. Book is long. Probably should be chopped into 2 books. Not really a destination in this book. Things just happen and the MC is doing this just because.
Garret does a good job. If i find something he has preformed Ill probably give it a whirl.

The beginning was kind of terrible and all over the place

But it is worth the time. Good story, if only we understand what happens. MC is likable, despite his dark background/class. Narrator is fine (though he is unable to do any voice other than the shouting narration he does, even when it explicitly states “whispering” or the like)

Ton of Fun and every page had a Silver lining

a 'dead'ly masterpiece, weaving together the 'bone'-afide wisdom of the ages with a plot that raises the bar for the genre! A truly 'spell'-binding read!"

This book was a ton of fun and while the story did have some strange twist and turns in the story telling so much enjoyed it. It was 20 hours and finished it in just a few days! I will 100% be watching for another book in the series or something else by Kennit Kenway.

if you are looking for something that is a great value with amazing pacing and that is just fun you are not going to hurt your brain trying to figure out the magic system this will be a book for you!

Overall alright

The story is straight forward maybe too much so. The MC is overpowered, knows it, and takes advantage of it.

He's also very conceited. It would be good for him if he discovered he murder hobo'd the family of his close family, and only did so because he was too quick to kill them when they wanted to parlay.

The cat voice is irritating

Loved everything but I could go my whole life not hearing the cat ever again.

Masterful, Tasteful, and Interesting

This book is wonderful. Aside from having fascinating world and magic system, it has a ton of captivating and human characters. The plot is carried by realistic levels of skill, luck, and personal drive, and is a true delight to follow. The episodic adventures are fresh, entertaining, and connected by an overarching thread of mystery. It has the best elements from Nightlord smashed together with deconstructed LitRPG tropes and the realistic power fantasy. We even have references to various other common LitRPG settings and some tasteful pop culture references.

I was delighted by every scene and our MC's reactions, competence, and overall world view. The narrators skill in both delivering emphasis and emotion was on point throughout the book, and all characters in a scene had distinct voices.

I highly recommend this book, and am chomping at the bit to read book two.

Breath of fresh air

Combat is really good, the story pacing is great except for a few chapters near the end, and a arch necromancer being flung into a distant parallel future is a really intriguing concept.

The whole story tone feels like ELLC if it wasn't extremely sexually explicit.
