Taken by Storm is a grumpy/sunshine, sort of boss/employee, definitely fake-boyfriend (except how fake is it if they’re actually hooking up?) romance, the second book in the Off-Season series where the residents of gay resort island get up to way too much fun once all the tourists leave for the season. Each book can be listened to as a stand-alone, but trust me when I tell you that you won’t want to miss all of these shenanigans.

Best in while.

Cute but predictable story. No convoluted conflict with a drawn out endlessly before resolution. The sexy parts were just enough. Good narration. Likable characters.

Storm and Hennessy 🧡✨

Palm Island is such a fun, quirky, steamy and amazing series! I am loving this world of sexy men, and fun times! I literally love everything KM Neuhold writes and this one is no different. This series is so much fun and these men are incredible! Hennessy and Storm are literal perfection. Henn is sweet, sassy and impulsive. He is the complete opposite of Storm. Storm is moody, grumpy and antisocial. When Storm’s ex husband shows up on the island he makes a super quick and impulsive decision to grab himself a fake boyfriend. That fake boyfriend just so happens to be the fun loving Hennessy. Even thought the relationship may be fake they for sure cant fake the insane chemistry they have. They both suck at real relationships and feel like all relationships are destined to fail. They have to decide if its work the risk to take the shot with one another or just walk away. I loved this book so much and I’m so excited for the next one in this incredible series.

The audio for this book was absolute FIRE!! Iggy Toma did absolutely AMAZING bringing this book to life! I laughed out loud at parts and swooned at the others! He did such a wonderful job with these amazing characters!!

Boss/employee fake boyfriend fun

I enjoyed this book. The second installment in a new series, which was even better than the first for me. Boss/employee fake boyfriends with low angst made for a good story. Looking forward to the next one for sure. Iggy Toma did a great job narrating.

Loved it

I love a good grump and Storm seriously delivers that. I think I even enjoy this one more than Perfect 10. Boston story can't come soon enough!!

Grown men acting like they are in middle school.

Annoying. These guys have the emotional insight and stability of boys in Junior High, NOT 30 year old men. And that comparison might be an insult to middle school boys.....
The narration was perfection, as usual anything Iggy Toma narrates is solid gold. It just was not enough to save this novel. Won't be wasting another credit on this author.

Fun!

Grumpy, anti-social Chef gets his life turned upside down when his ex shows up on the island- and a spontaneous decision changes his life for the better! Great second book in the series. Light, fun romance with a twinge of angst but not enough to cause anxiety ;) Iggy Toma narrates beautifully. Great read for the start of summer vacation!

Another perfect Storm!

This is just my second audiobook by Iggy Toma and it was wonderful! One of my favorite aspects of a great narrator is when you can always tell whose point of view they’re telling and Iggy is amazing at accents and different tones. Add in a stellar story by KM Neuhold and you have a 5 star book. Can’t wait for the next one!

Loved!

Taken by Storm has so many of my favorite things. I love a grumpy guy/happy guy combo and then add in the fake boyfriend aspect and I'm a happy reader.
This book was pure pleasure to read. There were laughs mixed with just the right amount of heat and swoony moments.
Watching Storm and Hennessy fumble their way towards their HEA was so much fun.
This story is full of cats, laughter, wonderful friends and a very satisfying happy ending.
What a great addition to the Palm Island series.
Iggy Toma does an amazing job of bringing this story to life! What a pleasure to listen to this audiobook.
I can't wait for more!

Great addition

Another wonderful story from Palm Island. These guys are all hilarious and looking for Love. Hopefully, not too long of a wait for the next book #3. Love Iggy Toma, his voice is so smooth. well worth the credit and your time to listen.

Storm + Hennessy are 🔥🔥

Iggy Toma does it again! Storm is the grumpy chef and Hennessy is his sweet waiter who poses as his fake boyfriend when an ex shows up. The voices are nailed flawlessly and that one scene it the restaurant kitchen was INSANE! 🥵

I’ll admit this is only the second audiobook I’ve listened to featuring Iggy and I’m so glad he’s in Kyleen’s books because he’s perfect! Between these amazing stories and his amazing voice, you can’t go wrong with these!
