Terribly self-absorbed book glorifying the author

When I purchased this audible book, I thought it would be a complete and thought-provoking history of the Buffalo Bills and all its classic players. Unfortunately, 80% of the book was about the author, former Bill‘s guard Joe Delamaliere. His Writing and overall storytelling were poor. It’s almost like he didn’t have an editor because he kept saying the same things over and over again. I can’t believe he didn’t dislocate his shoulder from patting himself on the back for all the awards he received. The most pathetic part of the book was when he endlessly winded and complained about his relationship with former coach Chuck Knox. His bitterness, was so childish, sad and pathetic. They really should’ve had a more articulate and informed former Buffalo Bill, like Jack Kemp write the book. He has a perspective for the entire history of the bills, not just his personal career.
