Publisher's summary

Critically acclaimed, bestselling author Harlan Coben has won the Shamus, Anthony, and Edgar awards during his impressive career. Tell No One is an irresistibly suspenseful thriller infused with nail-biting tension and packed with shocking plot twists.

It has been eight years since Dr. David Beck’s wife, Elizabeth, was murdered by a serial killer. When Beck receives a message containing a phrase only Elizabeth should know, he is tormented to tears. Either someone is playing a sick joke, or the wife he’s never stopped loving is still alive. He’s been warned to tell no one, and as the desperation of his search for the truth intensifies, he heads straight toward a deadly secret.

Fast Paced

3.5 I enjoyed this book. It was a super quick read that grabs you right away. It had some satisfying twists, and the ending was good. I did feel like it was somewhat predictable in a few spots, but I still enjoyed it.

Great story

To the narrator….forte is pronounced FOR-TAY…not “fort”. Only blemish in an otherwise good story and performance. But come on…does no one proofread/proof listen??

Another winner….

I’m reading older books as I await more “credits”. I’m a Coban fan but I’m detecting a similar thread through his books, just the circumstances differ. This one was a bit rambling at times, but still interesting and compelling.

Twists and turns were engaging

Good character development, fast paced and solid entertainment. Difficult to put down this book and kept me wanting more.

Racist Stereotypes

This novel is riddled with implausible twists and racism. I tried to over look them but the author persisted with his racist stereotypes and tropes. I had to stop listening. I will never again read this author nor will I view series based on his novels.

Narrator somewhat limited

The story was great but I struggle with narrators who can’t/don’t speak the English language properly and if a word is say French and they have no idea about how to pronounce the word- something as basic as “forte” - very frustrating and irritating- stick to children’s books!

A solid noir thriller

The narrator and story work really well together and feel like a noir thriller radio broadcast.
I really enjoyed this story.

Thank you

For using the correct pronunciation of “forte”! I find it amazing that almost everyone pronounces it “fortA”!

the mystery of it all

I'm listening twenty-plus years after the writing, so much of it is dated. The narrator's interpretation of the model/ wife is horrendous, hokey, annoying, insulting.

Overall, a solid Harlan Corben.
