Publisher's summary
Aurora is a single mom and ends up adopting her sister’s baby. She will do anything for her son and nephew- who she now calls her son. Then she receives a letter from a DNA service, stating that she has a half-sister in New Orleans.
Fed up with Las Vegas, she buys a lottery ticket, only to win big. Needing a drastic change in her life, she buys an abandoned Victorian home on the bayou in New Orleans and is going to work at a dance studio to teach grannies how to shake it. She hires a carpentry company to remodel her home and soon meets Forest- the man who will break her walls down.
After learning what he’s dealing with at home, she grasps how similar they are. She just doesn’t realize how much younger he is than her. Looks like she’s going to have to teach him a thing or two.

Story
Eight years ago I fell into a secret summer fling with my best friend’s little sister before our lives went in different directions. Now, I’m the grumpy to Juliet’s sunshine on a popular dating podcast we host, and when a wealthy fan gives us a charming coastal cottage as the biggest thank you ever, we head to the town where I grew up to give it a makeover. And find the house has only one bed. Located under a mirrored ceiling.

Beckett: If you’re reading this, well, you know the last-letter drill. You made it. I didn’t. Get off the guilt train, because I know if there was any chance you could have saved me, you would have. I need one thing from you: get out of the army and get to Telluride. My little sister Ella’s raising the twins alone. She’s too independent and won’t accept help easily, but she has lost our grandmother, our parents, and now me. It’s too much for anyone to endure. And here’s the kicker: there’s something else you don’t know that’s tearing her family apart.

I loved & enjoyed this story a lot
I absolutely recommend this book if you want a real raw life event and relatable romance? Then this is for you. I think the author did an amazing job writing this story. It had me laughing, crying, upset, worried, and feeling butterflies in my stomach and so much more. I also want to mention that we have kids in this story and I felt connected to them as well. The author did a fantastic job making that connection. The narrator did an amazing job and had no errors. Which makes me happy. I highly recommend this audiobook. Don’t miss out on this amazing story. PSA I do recommend you to read or listen to book one which is “That’s one big deck” in order to listen or read this one, because characters from book one do pop up frequently in book 2.
