Though the Greek and Roman crewmembers of the Argo II have made progress in their many quests, they still seem no closer to defeating the earth mother, Gaea. Though it is tempting to take the Athena Parthenos to Athens to use as a secret weapon, the friends know that the huge statue belongs back on Long Island, where it mightbe able to stop a war between the two camps.

The Athena Parthenos will go west; the Argo II will go east. The gods, still suffering from multiple personality disorder, are useless. How can a handful of young demigods hope to persevere against Gaea's army of powerful giants? As dangerous as it is to head to Athens, they have no other option. They have sacrificed too much already. And if Gaea wakes, it is game over.

A Great Ending to this Amazing Series.

It was an amazing entertaining story. It keeps you on the edge of your seat and glued to your phone wanting to know just what will happen next. The narrator is great and very talented. It is bittersweet to finish this book but I'm left smiling and beyond satisfied with the outcome of the series. a must read for all ages. Especially those who love Greek and Roman mythology!!!

What did you love best about The Blood of Olympus?

I loved the story. It was a perfect conclusion. Fast paced and high energy with a lot of things going on to make you stay glued until the end.

What did you like best about this story?

I love the updating and urbanizing of the immortal gods. Reading about the gods historically is quite, um, unsettling. They were not very nice to say the least. Rick Riordan pulls out the sense of humor of the gods without diminishing their power.

What didn’t you like about Nick Chamian’s performance?

I hated his performance. I hated everything about it. Zero stars wasn't an option. He read the book. No more, no less. It was far from a performance. There was nothing remotely entertaining about his reading. In my opinion, this book and the last book should be read by another performer. Any other performer.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I laughed out loud many, many times. I even shed a tear. There were so many instances of character growth and coming of age and acceptance of things that can't be changed.

Any additional comments?

The only criticism I have is the story line of Nicko. I think the character was written more mature and dark than his age of what, 13 or so. Spoiler alert: I think the assumption of his sexual orientation should have been placed on a much older character.

I think Rick can do better but over all the story's amazing exciting and interesting I sure hope there is going to be more

I really enjoyed this book. it grabs your attention and holds on all the way. it was my favorite of the series

Bad narrator

Again this narrator was awful. everything sounded strained and unimpressive, like he was forcing the voices. The narrator that started The Heroes of Olympus was much better.

So good.

Very satisfying end to the series. I stayed up way too late to finish listening. Great narration, too - well done.
