Ellie Wayne doesn't just live. She survives.

New York Times best-selling author Sharon Sala brings emotional intensity to an unforgettable story of survival, empowerment and raw courage.

Ellie Wayne has grown up in frightening circumstances, damaged by a sexually abusive father and mentally fragile mother. Scarred and still threatened by a father she hates and fears, Ellie believes her future holds nothing more than danger, shame and secrets...until the unspeakable happens, and Ellie is forced to choose. She can claim her life or continue to hide in the shadows.

One amazing man might be the miracle worker who can help Ellie see that she has the power to move on with her life, to hope for something more. If she can trust him.

Listeners will cheer for this amazing woman as she struggles to leave victimhood behind.

Intense

This is a very intense but good book. The narration was awesome. I had questions about some oddities throughout the book but had no idea they would be explained the way they were. When you listen, and you should, plan on crying some or a lot.

Good Story....Okay Narrator

The narrator seemed stilted at times when voicing different characters. If it weren't for the quality of the story I would have returned the book.

The Boarding House

This story was not up to Sharon’s usual standard of excellence. It was depressing and graphic about the horrors of child abuse. I thought the description of the plot was misleading. Knowing her books, I kept hoping it would get better but it did not. Wish I had turned it off and saved myself the grief.

A Must Read!!!

It wasn't until close to the end of the book that I realized this book was about multiple personalities. Blew me awsy! Quite a different book for this author but I couldn't stop listening until the very end.
