About this listen

Her self-absorbed news anchor ex-husband careening back into her life was not on this amateur psychic detective’s bingo card.

Not only does Griffin Gentry show up unexpectedly at Riley Thorn’s door—the real shock is that he’s begging her for help. Riley’s hot private investigator boyfriend Nick Santiago refusing to take the job is…well, less of a surprise.

Too bad for Nick that his octogenarian business partner overrules him and takes the lead on Griffin’s case. But when a dead body makes it clear someone really is out to get Riley’s ex, the mile-long suspect list means all hands on deck at Santiago Investigations. Even the wrinkly, retired ones.

It’s only a matter of time before Griffin brings the danger directly to their doorstep. And with Riley and Nick busy interviewing suspects, that leaves their elderly roommates to wreak havoc in the surveillance department. Can Riley block out the chaos to focus her psychic visions long enough to narrow down the list of suspects? Or will Griffin Gentry’s bad karma be the downfall of them all?

This book made me laugh out loud so many times! Lucy Score never disappoints, and I just love the way she writes Nick and Riley. Natalie Duke is such a talented voice actress. The voice she uses for each character really brings the story alive!

"You're weirding me out,"

Lucy Score created literally genius within the Riley Thorn series. There is only one other series that has made me laugh so much and been such an absolute delight throughout each boom.

Each character is just as loveable and crazy and unique and perfectly imperfect as the next.

And what TRULY changes takes each novel to the next level is the creative talents of the narrator. It never fails to amaze me how she can remember each character's voice, accent, etc, and switch back and forth between them all flawlessly.

Truly astounding, entertaining, and delightful!

I'm ready for the next book, Lucy !!!

The side characters steal the show!

I love this series! While Nick and Riley are soooo cute and humorous in their sarcasm, the side characters really up the hilarity factor! This series is a total must read! Lucy Score does it again! Knockin’’em out the park! IYKYK!

More Riley Thorne Please!

I loved the first 3 books in this series so much that when book 4 dropped, I made myself go back and re-listen to the first 3 before I would listen to the 4th one! It was worth it, too. Like the others, book 4 was exciting, fast paced, and absolutely hilarious. And the romance between Nick Santiago and Riley We-need-to-know-her-middle-name Thorne was as hot as ever, albeit frequently thwarted by the posse of elderly neighbors that invited themselves to move in after their roof collapsed at the end of the last book. Add in the antics of the clueless, entitled Griffen Gentry, his equally air headed fiance Becca, Riley and Nick's families, an innocent Gabe just now learning about sarcasm, and, of course, dog-pony Burt, and we have a mix made in comedic heaven. I hope that there will be more Riley Thorne adventures in the future!
