    Excellent book

Whether you're interested in Fundamental or Technical trading, this book has snippets of wisdom for everyone. It won't tell you a particular stock to buy, but it will help you understand a variety of aspect of the market and help you define your philosophy of trading. Both the introductions and the readings themselves are enlightening. Very enjoyable listening!

    Old School Investing

Old school stories of investing. May want to stick with something more relevant. Still a good foundation of wisdom.

    Packed with insight!

Would you listen to The Book of Investing Wisdom again? Why?

I am planning to listen to this book a number of times, to really absorb, learn & retain more and more of the timeless insight and wisdom packed into such an easy and captivating listen!

What other book might you compare The Book of Investing Wisdom to and why?

this is the first book I have come across that has this kind of information packed into such an easy to understand format.

What does Richard Poe bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Richard Poe is actually very good to listen to especially compared to a lot of the other audio books I've listened to. I would say he is great story teller, it is not like you are trying to listen to the information, instead you just get absorbed into the story of the information & there for remember more through the experience of it all.

What did you learn from The Book of Investing Wisdom that you would use in your daily life?

it has really opened my mind to the different ways to look at investing and the different areas of investing, and to look at what is happening in the world around me to know what areas to focus my efforts on. it helps me know what to be mindful of when investing to help manage risk.

    Any additional comments?

it is real short but I found I am still able to get a lot out of it!

Very good survey from some good articles

This is a collection of articles from various authors writing about investing. The book covers a good variety of topics. While this is not a beginner's guide to investing, it has information of value for anyone interested in commentary on various investment topics.

    Different perspectives

Very interesting overview of different investment perspectives ranging from the pure horse sense approach to the almost esoteric analysis explained by the practitioners themselves. Excellent narration captures each individual style.

Dated but still contains lots of "Wisdom"

A collection of essays by famous and successful investors, this book is a cursory but nonetheless interesting look into the thought processes and investing philosophies of Wall Street Legends.

Some essays are stronger than others (I wouldn't recommend using hem line lengths as a barometer of market health), and a few concern topics that may be of less interest to the average investor (though the principles of trading commodity futures are widely applicable).

I'd recommend this book as a supplement to any investor's library shelf, but the scattershot nature of the format prevent it from being anything more. For beginning investors and those seeking to expand their financial intelligence it should also be a great jumping off point to read more of the various authors in depth.

    A solid choice

This book is both interesting and useful. It offers exposure to a wide variety of investing related topics. I believe most individual investors will find something useful in this book. If you are looking at some different investing books I recommend this one and Peter Lynch's "One Up on Wall Street". I recommend these two above "Forbes: Greatest Investing Stories" and "Common Stocks and Uncommon Profits (Philip Fisher).
