Publisher's summary

Growing up a homeless juvenile delinquent left its mark on Gabriel Logan. He lived a throwaway existence until a former FBI agent recruited him for a fringe organization for boys like him - ones who could operate outside the law for the sake of justice.

As an adult he sets an example for the others and is slated to take over their group...until his work results in the murder of his pregnant wife. Going through the motions of everyday life, Logan does only what is required of him with one goal in mind: kill Hugh Langston, the man responsible for his wife's death.

When he's handed the opportunity to bring Langston down, he jumps at the chance, but the job will challenge him more than anything in the past. Not only does he have to save Langston's daughter from her father's hit list, but the job seems to have come to them a little too easily. Logan must find a way not only to rescue the one woman who can take down his biggest enemy but also to look into the men he trusts most to discover which one of them is betraying The Boys Club.

Gripping

Would you listen to The Boys Club again? Why?

Probably not, but I would read it. I thought the narrators voice was good, but there were points when he would try to mimic a woman's voice and I didn't like the pitch, but that's just me.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Boys Club?

That's hard to say, I don't know if it's when Gab talked about his wife and what happened to her. Or when he had to make the difficult dicision he made upon learning he was betrayed by another one of the Boys Club members.

What about Tim McKean’s performance did you like?

He did an excellent job through the action scenes. I was enthralled.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Heartbreaking Tale of lost love and second chances in life.

Any additional comments?

The Boy Club is definitely a 5 star read, it had me hooked from the very beginning. The storyline flowed great and I very much enjoyed all the action and mystery. The Characters were very relatable and I liked how they were weaved into this story. This one definitely held my interest and I took advantage of the audible version and listened as much as possible to get to the end faster. Gripping is a word that comes to mind, filled with moments of surprise and sadness. I would like to hear more about this story, I can see more happening here with Logan’s character, but especially Sarah. Plus I have to say this plot was different (Dark and Light) and I really liked that. I am a fan of Angie Martin now. This is a 5 star read for me for sure!!!

Suspenseful and amazingly great book

If you could sum up The Boys Club in three words, what would they be?

I love this book! The suspense grips you and pulls you right in.

This the story of Logan and Sara.

Logan works for an uncover organization that helps right wrongs. He is helping guard Sara after finding out a 'hit' has been put on her by her own father. He is one 'kick butt' kind of guy. Definetly someone you want in your corner.

Sara is dealing with a lot and shows she's a strong person also.

This is a very well written book. I couldn't get anything else done until I finished this book. Amazing!

What did you like best about this story?

I love the way the author pulls you right into the story. I felt I was there with Sara and Logan.

Which character – as performed by Tim McKean – was your favorite?

Logan was my favorite character. I felt we got to get beneath his layers.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes. It was amazingly good! Love it!

Fantastic book and narration!

I absolutely loved this book! Angie's writing kept me on the edge of my seat. With each page I needed to know what would happen next. I finished this audio in one day, I just couldn't stop listening to it. The way Tim narrated this story really brought it to life for me. I can't recommend this story more, it's absolutely fantastic!

The Boys Club did not disappoint!

I am not normally an audiobook reader, but am coming to love it! I had previously listened to LAMENTATION by Joe Clifford narrated by Tim McKean, so initially had a hard time separating Gabe Logan in this book, also narrated by McKean, from Jay Porter in LAMENTATION. It didn't take long for me to get engulfed in Angie Martin's tale of adventure though. Her detailed character development, as well as the varied voices used by McKean, quickly had me relating with the characters and their task at hand-save Sara.

The story line was fast paced and riveting. I could not pull myself away from the book. Martin's cliffhanger chapter endings had me constantly searching for time to finish just one more chapter....then one more. The storyline was filled with plot twists that threw me for a loop and made me wonder how on earth Logan was going to complete his mission of getting Sara to safety.

This book had something for everyone-adventure, romance, mystery, drama, and action. I highly recommend the audio version read by McKean. I found myself taking the "scenic route" when I drove just to finish this book.
