The rites, rituals, symbolism, and the role of the priest have undergone profound changes. The priesthood has been rocked with scandals that have weakened the bond between priests and bishops and has undermined the prestige of priesthood. Rev. Bleichner outlines ways for the priest to cope with this new situation.
