John Frist was a soldier, a hero, and the victim of an IED attack in Iraq before his discharge. He returned home and committed a terrible act of domestic terrorism. Transformed by the StrikeForce technology, he saved New York City from a dirty bomb and nearly died in the process. For him, the ensuing two years has been a bone-wearying series of battles to protect the United States.
Eric Wise has risen from Director of Project StrikeForce to Assistant Director of the Office of Threat Management. Tasked with preventing the end of the world, he protects John while directing the OTM against a vast sea of threats.
The Office of Threat Management still watches over the world and the StrikeForce technology gives John an amazing edge, but will it be enough to prevent a man bent on attacking the United States and reducing it to a third-world power?

Fast Paced, Exciting, Action Packed!

This is an audible book I requested and the review is voluntary.
This continues John's story as he was rebuilt into more than a man and used as a weapon. He was wiped of his memories but they came back. If the government knew, they would kill him. Only one man shares that secret. This book takes the team on another dangerous mission and John must once again use his skills and Eric protects John's secret and tries to keep the powers that be from killing the world. Lots of great action, fights, and secrets. Love this series!
The narrator is top notch! Keeps the pace going the way it should and the emotions ready to go!

Better than book 1
I liked this better than book 1. There was more complicated action happening that kept me on the edge of my seat.
There was 1 issue I had: there is a section of the book that contained a TON of abbreviations. They were explained before using the abbreviation but in listening to the book, it was difficult to keep up. I think if I was reading it then it wouldn't have been too tough, but audio was hard. I ended up having to tune it out until the part was over.
Beside that downside, a good book for sure!
