Wanted it not to end.
Another deeply engrossing and meaning filled book by Koontz in which one falls in love with the protagonist and the many hope inspiring characters Dean creates. This author has seen deeper shades of objective reality than most.

Not Bad.
This wasn't a book that I would read more than once. I did read the whole thing and it had some good moments, but it mostly dragged along. The narrator's performance was awesome so that helped get me through the book. Not terrible, but this wasn't my favorite Koontz book.

Tamer than I expected but awesome!
Although surprised at what I considered to be a "slow starter", in the long run The story was engaging and I thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook! I had not read Koontz for over 20 years hence my expectation was for a more wildly paranormal storyline. However, Koontz peppered this book with just hints that made it very subjective.

I like Dean Koontz
Underlying all of Dean Koontz novels is an underlying sense of morality. You either like Koontz' writing or you don't – I do. It never drags me down, even when it's not particularly cheerful. I don't really understand recent obsessions with vampires, etc. – but Dean writes about bizarre things without being stupid, vulgar, morose. I don't think he has lost his edge as one person commented – people evolve...at least we should. Thanks Mr Koontz for another weird and wonderful book!
