Very entertaining
I enjoyed this audiobook a lot. It took me a little to get use the the fast paced style but once I got into it I finished the story in a day and a half!

A great western story
I loved this book so very much. An outstanding performance by Julia Whelan, every character has their own voice. The story itself was well told and heartbreakingly real, a wonderful glimpse of a world gone forever. The Kid was written so very well it was hard to believe she was created by a man.

Wonderful! LOVED IT!!
This story has the heart and soul of a great western adventure. So beautifully written that you can’t help but fall in love with the characters. Julia Whelan’s narration was perfection as usual. Can’t wait for Book 2!

The western genre doesn’t get better than this
One of my favorite books, beautifully read. Believable characters that you care about in intense but credible situations. Exciting, dramatic, sweet and poignant. You’ll laugh and cry and be amazed.

Good from the beginning…
Julia Whalen is one of my favorite narrators and she did not disappoint with this book. I was immediately pulled into the story. I often listen while I drive and there were many times that I was so immersed in the story that I had no idea where I was going! I love historical fiction because my interests always gets peaked about the true events that happened during that time. Can’t wait to read the next book!
