This has been the best audiobook purchase ever. Amazing performances and dedication to Lovecrafts stories.

The last 8 minutes is the best!

I love that the creators decided to include 8 minutes of flubs and bloopers at the very end. It gives one an excellent appreciation of just how difficult it is to read HPL’s books out loud. If I could I would rate the performance six stars just for taking on the challenge.

There is more than passion in these performances

I'm taking a minute to update my review because I've just finished listening to every delicious minute of this title for the third time.

This collection of recordings of the works of H.P. Lovecraft is a good version to choose. The readers were high school friends who loved D&D and Lovecraft. They went their separate ways to college to study acting and producing and later partnered to create the H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society. This collection of recordings is one of its productions. The performances and production values are as high as the ones Tantor produces, but they feel different somehow. The recordings are professional. They sound like the voice talents enjoy the material.

I'm listening to this collection for a second time. I love it. These guys are great. They have created the best readings of the stories that I've heard yet.

Every moment on the edge

… because the narrator persistently reads in this dramatic tone as if something horrible is happening even when nothing is happening. I had to stop listening after a couple hours because I just couldn’t take it anymore. I’m reading the books myself now because the writing is very good and puts you in the terrified imaginations of the characters as they face horror’s which have become somewhat cliche and mild in our modern multi-media.

I recognized Andrew Leman's name and voice from listening to the HPLSHS Literary Podcast, and was happy to find this comprehensive collection produced by an organization that is excited to study and share Lovecraft's work. Consistently amazing quality, complemented by the ambience and tones of the excellent narrators.

Made with love & is truly for hp lovecraft & fans

I think I saw they have physical one with collectible editions and even though at times the audio is not top-notch , the narration and feelings can be felt pouring to it so no problems there.. It is recommended for all the fans and interested about h.p lovecraft's universe-building mythology..

the days of listening are worth the credit

the fact that this book is so long makes the purchase incredibly worth it. The narrator's are chosen wonderfully as their voices really lend much to the stories and the bloopers at the very end had me giggling.

These books are from a different time, words we don't say are said in this book. I'm glad the team decided not to take these out, I was happy to hear the original versions, or as original as they possibly can be.

This was a wonderfully read collection of wonderful works, with a few included I had no idea Lovecraft ever wrote.
