Thank you for motivating me to take my program to the next level and not rest on my laurels!

Reading "The Courage to be True" by Tina Ruysseveldt brought back memories of the loneliest moments of my life. The way she so articulately described the pain, suffering, despair and utter powerlessness to stop when deep in active addiction made me feel maybe I wasn't as alone as I thought back then.

Her ability to put those feelings into words is something I have struggled with. I was also struck by her LiveWell Recipe. While the 12 steps have been crucial to my recovery, her approach adds extra layers that resonated with me. It goes beyond the 12 steps, describing the path from the depths of addiction to the pink cloud of recovery in a way that has inspired me to take my program to another level.

Ruysseveldt's story is inspiring and offers practical advice for anyone in recovery. It is one thing to maintain sobriety in the good times, it is another thing to have your program so solid that during times of extreme adversity, to not only survive but thrive. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a deeply personal and uplifting read on overcoming addiction and finding true wellness.

Thank you for this true

Inspirational, true, harsh. I had the chance to meet the writer and I have to tell I didn’t imagine this book was this good. Even if you have never had an addiction problem or a close family member with it, this give you a total different perspective of the disease and most important, of the opportunities you have every single day to improve your live.
