Publisher's summary

New York Times best-selling series! Demon slaying powers should come with an instruction book...Seriously. Why does a new hair dryer have a twelve-page how-to manual, but when it comes to ancient demon-fighting hocus-pocus, my biker witch granny gives me just half a dozen switch stars and a rah-rah speech? Oh, and a talking terrier, but that's another story. It's not like my job as a preschool teacher prepared me for this kind of thing. So I've decided to write my own manual: The Dangerous Book for Demon Slayers, because no one tells me anything. Dimitri, my "protector," may be one stud of a shape-shifting griffin, but he always thinks he can handle everything by himself. Only he's no match for the soul-stealing succubi taking over Las Vegas. If I can't figure out how to save him - and Sin City - there'll be hell to pay.

LOVE it!

What made the experience of listening to The Dangerous Book for Demon Slayers the most enjoyable?

I LOVE this series - the sarcasm, the wit, the action, the imagination, the relationships - it all works together so well. The only thing I love more than this series? Hearing it read to me! The audio version of this book brings the characters to life in a much more vibrant way than when I read it to myself.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Pirate - his voice is exactly as I would imagine it myself, and he's so spunky!

Have you listened to any of Tavia Gilbert’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes, but this one is the best so far in my mind. :)

Any additional comments?

I had a hard time "putting it down" to attend to work!

Wow, brings the story to life

Where does The Dangerous Book for Demon Slayers rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Very well done, the characterization of the voices done by the narrator really brings the story to life. Very easy to get deeply involved and forget you are doing anything else.

What did you like best about this story?

The humor, the fast paced story, the characters, heck I like all of it.

What does Tavia Gilbert bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Listening to the story seems to bring it life a little easier and allows me to still follow the story even while I have to do other things.

A bit explicit.

While a good book, the very explicit sex is a bit of a surprise. Not sure that it's completely necessary for the story.

Dangerous Book for Demon Slayers

Angie Fox continues to write stories that draw the reader in. Tavia Gilbert did a good job with all the different characters throughout the story.

Lizzie has to go and save her "fairy-godfather". He truly is a fairy and has been watching her, her whole life. When he gets mixed up with a succubus, in Vegas no less, Lizzie has to learn on the fly. She decides to write a book for demon slayers as she is learning.

Unfortunately her boyfriend, Dimitri, a shape-shifting griffin with slayer blood, is like food for the succubus. Can Lizzie save him and her fairy-godfather?

Loved the story, the narration not so much

Angie Fox delivers another wonderful installment in the Demon Slayer series. while I thoroughly enjoyed the story, the narration left a lot to be desired. it started out ok but them she became whiny and quavery like she was the entire first book. it makes Lizzie sound like a weak, whiny woman instead of the strong heroine she is.

A great read!

I have to say his was a great story. I thought the way the characters interacted and he storyline were flawless, however, it was a little too much in a few spots. That’s not necessarily a bad thing. There was just a lot going on to keep up with.

As always Tavia Gilbert did an amazing job bringing this story to life. It makes the book much more enjoyable when you can have someone bring it to life for you and hats what she does.

Pirate, OMG, I love that little dog! He is to die for. Lizzie wouldn’t be as badass without him, Demetri or the Red Skulls. I can’t wait to see what happens next.
