Mark Twain spills his wit and whimsical sense of humor into his novel The Diaries of Adam and Eve. The story tells of the events that took place in the Garden of Eden prior to the entrance of the deceitful serpent. Adam and Eve are not exactly getting along. Through the struggles listed in their diaries, one can safely assume that these two very different human beings are each other’s greatest source of frustration. Intended as a comical insight into the complex relations between men and women, The Diaries of Adam and Eve displays a progression from continual annoyance to a perfect partnership.

Mark Twain in a quick listen. No doubt he was a funny dude. The truth of being prescient and its cost colorfully realized by characters doomed by an unknown innocence, to be guilty.

Clever and witty

Not a long listen, but this reader puts me to sleep for some reason. I listened to the Joan of Arc by Twain this same narrator worked on and really struggled. Something about his voice made it hard to appreciate the jokes.

Short and funny

It has fun moments, but remains a little flat and not as rich as his classics.

Not My Favorite Mark Twain Story

Great insight into the workings of Twains magic. Great story telling . Not your typical biblical take yet wonderfully done.

Novel take on an ageless tale
