About this listen

They exterminated her species. That was their first mistake.

The second was keeping the Spider Queen alive.

As the last female of her kind, Silvia knows that her freedom could bring the resurgence of her race. Her captivity ensures extinction. To her, the answer is clear. Freedom at any cost. Loose in the universe, her kiss will spread genetic contamination—altering her victims into her spider brethren. Humanity's best interests are served if that never happens.

The police chief of the backward planet she’s trapped on might prove to be a barrier the Spider Queen cannot overcome. Survival is the goal, but not everyone can triumph in this game of mortality, madness, and lust.

Book one: Spider's Kiss

very interesting story

At first, I didn't know if I'd like this book. I'm not one to like spider's, but this book was awesome. once I started, I couldn't stop. I'm glad I didn't. the storyline was really captivating, and drew me in. I'd love to hear more

Fascinating World and Characters

For Sprague's first audio book (from what I can tell), and my first experience with this author - I find the world building incredibly fascinating. A great combination of magic + science, innovative in both respects, and compelling when combined.

The character development kept me engaged in a way that few books do. I love the completely unexpected turns in the story, which changed my expectations of this book the further on I listened.

The narrator, given that this appears to be her first narration (?), did a surprisingly great job. I think the narrator could improve some, and given opportunities to, may yet do so.

Thank you for a wonderful audio book Sprague!
