Strong Finish

I’m sorry the series is over. I thought all three books were a lot of fun, and I never knew where the story was going. The reader was excellent; really made everything come alive.

Weird, hacky, sometimes good.

I’m rating the whole series rather than just this book, but each of them are more or less the same. Basically a combination of super weird situations and characters being hedonistic and/or gross, with lame, hacky jokes, and the odd moments of interest insights and circumstances. I feel like I had perpetual whiplash from the story swinging back and forth from gross, teenage jokes and sexual deviancy with genially interesting pulp science fiction. This series really was not for me; but I can see how people might like it if you’re into Lansdale’s style of storytelling. It’s certainly a wild ride. Also, two extra points off for Audible forcing you to buy each of the three books separately booooo
