Wow! This story has it all from the small town vibes I love with a twist, to a high school crush turned fake relationship, and to top it off feuding families! What better reason to fake a relationship than to heal the feud between two families who have made life difficult for everyone in their small town. And if you can get the happy ending all the better! This was one of the best fake relationships I have read! Loved it!

Witty and cute

Loved it! It was slightly different than the traditional fake engagement which made it refreshing. There was also a little bit of mystery. It’s a slow burn. The narrators were perfect.

What a hilarious story this was. Just like a Hallmark movie! Fed up with their families constantly bickering, Amanda Anderson and Dane Silvers decide to fake their engagement to put an end to the feud once and for all. Little did they know that this ruse would spiral into chaos as their families now compete to plan their wedding.

𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐞 harbored a secret crush on Amanda since their high school days, but their families' rivalry made it difficult to connect. Their chemistry was undeniable, and there was a magnetic attraction between them. I adored Dane's cool and collected demeanor, which contrasted perfectly with Amanda's outgoing personality.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 dual narration by CJ Bloom and Connor Crais was simply fantastic. I was utterly impressed by their storytelling. And the epilogue narrated by Connor had me in stitches! 🐶

𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐥, if you're a fan of a modern twist on the Romeo and Juliet concept, complete with humor and heartwarming moments, then this charming story is a must-listen.

Such a Fun Story!

When Dane Silver quietly observes Amanda Anderson as she crawls through his sister's window one hot summer night and contritely confesses that she has just told her grandmother that she is engaged to him, she is not prepared for his response. Their two families have been feuding for over a century and no one knows the reason why. Dane thinks that it is time to end this feud and that their engagement is the perfect reason for the families to make peace.
This is not as kooky as some of author Pippa Grant's books, but is hilarious nevertheless! I love this story. I love the sweet characters. I love the determination and strength the lovers lend one another as they tackle their toughest relatives and delve into the mystery of what started the feud. This is a book full of joy!

Retelling ( of sorts) of Romeo and Juliet with a Christmas twist! Fast-paced and super cute would recommend for anyone who loves small town, holiday hallmark type stories.

Funny & Sweet

Two people who have had enough of their family’s nonsense (for different reasons but involving the same underlying feud) decide to fake an engagement. He’s her best friend’s brother, although the friendship has been a secret too because of the feud. The main characters are both likeable. They have their quirks and their hangups (it would be a boring story without them) but they support each other in trying to learn how to move past the roles their families have tried to force them into. Connor Crais is fantastic. CJ Bloom can go either way for me because she can get kind of shouty in my opinion, and she starts out pretty aggressively, but she does settle down some to a more natural tone. Pippa Grant didn’t disappoint. I enjoyed this book a lot.

Pippa absolutely slays it every single time with the amount of heart and humor that is in her books! The FAKE WEDDING PROJECT is no different! I loved it! The quirky town, the animal side kick, the fake dating, the family feud!

Dane and Amanda have known each other their whole lives, but a stupid family feud has always prevented them from really knowing each other. That is until Amanda tell her family that Dane is her fiancé so she hopefully doesn’t have to inherit the family business. Instead of being mad Dane wants to use their fake engagement to end the family feud once and for all. He just doesn’t plan to fall in love.

These two were adorable together. I adored both Dana and Amanda separately and together, and of course the banter and cute fake dates as they tried to deal with their families.

This had just the right amount of spice and pining and witty banter and I loved every moment.

I listed to this one and honestly Connor Crais could say anything and o would melt into a puddle on the floor, but this he absolutely nailed!

Plus the epilogue from Chilly the dog is my favorite thing I ever listened too because I was cackling.

Absolutely loved this fake engagement standalone story!! Pippa Grant delivered another amazing story to us fans.

This fake engagement story is about Dane Silver and Amanda Anderson, who both grew up in Tinsel, Michigan and now live in big cities away from their feuding families.

Neither of them know what or whose family actually started the feud forever ago, but Amanda knows she doesn’t want to move back home to run the Gingerbread bakery when her grandmother retires so, she makes up the fake engagement story and Dane goes along with it. With Christmas themed festivities everywhere Dane & Amanda find themselves having very real feelings toward one another all while trying to figure out how to end this feud.

I definitely recommend reading to everyone and anyone who loves to listen to audiobooks, then you won’t be disappointed with the dual narrator’s voices, Connor Crais & CJ Bloom both do an excellent job with their voices and bring all of the characters to life.

Xmas-themed hometown, family feuds, fake engagemen

Coming home, Xmas-themed hometown, ending family feuds, fake engagement, rom-com, and hot spice.

This book was so great from the start. The setting was perfect; I loved seeing all the little quirks about their Christmas-themed hometown. The main characters had known each other growing up, so the history was there even if they hadn't seen each other lately; it was hilarious how they met again. Seeing them move from friends to figuring out that they wanted more was so sweet and spicy! This was an all-around classic rom-com spicy book that had all the characteristics that hit the right spots so that when you are done reading, you are fully satisfied. Heart, soul, laughter and hotness. I loved that neither of the main characters had to give up their dreams and they were able to make it work for them and even for others in their families.

This is a complete stand-alone and can be read without having read any other books by this author. But once you do, you will want to read all of them! (check her website for reading orders ; ) )

** I listened to the audio of this book and loved it. I think that the narrators did a fantastic job. I love the audio because I think that it helps to connect you to the characters even faster than when just reading the book. You get more heart out of it.
