About this listen

Let me tell the story of how I fell in love with a woman who had no idea that we were even dating. The ridiculousness started when she stole my beer, and trust me, my grumpy self doesn’t normally share. But somehow, Avery Wilson is the exception to every one of my many rules.

Unfortunately, I’m not hers.

Not only is she the daughter of the Rev’s coach who hates me, she’s also sworn off dating for the year.

Little does she know we’ve been doing just that. Sure, she says I’m her friend when we watch romcoms or spend holidays together, but I’m just biding my time until the year is up.

With her father against me, and a line of men interested in dating her, once she finds out my true intentions, will we survive the fallout?

Author Note: The Fall Out is book one of the Boston Revs Three Outs Series. It is a stand-alone baseball romcom that starts with a one-night stand with the coach's daughter. This friends-to-lovers grumpy sunshine romance will guarantee you tons of fun banter and swoony moments between the hot-headed baseball pitcher and the animal-loving heroine. Add in some laughs with the Revs team and an adorable pet puffin and it is sure to be fun for all.

Great First Listen

I kept seeing this book recommended, and I kept my fingers crossed it would come out on audio... And let me tell you that listening to this book was such a highlight for me.
This is my first read of Jenni, and she now has a fan, and I will listen to her books as they come out. Add in the baseball element, and you have me hooked!

I love a great friends to lovers story, and this one hits in on the nail with that trope. Avery and Christian become friends after a one night stand. But doesn't that make it so much sweeter. You have a connection with someone, and you hold on to it, and that is what Christian does. It doesn't matter that Avery is the coach's daughter. I loved these two together.

Connor and Rose were the perfect combo for these characters. I felt this book was done so well, and I listened to it and enjoyed everything about it.
Connor had the right amount of charisma for Christian, and Rose had the sweet voice for Avery. These two narrators do such a wonderful job with this story that you will love this book more than if you just read it.
You get to experience Christian and Avery through voice.
I am in love with this series already and I can't wait for more!

This duet narration--a whole new level of amazing!

Story Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (0-5)

What I’m Starry-Eyed Over:
🤩 Audiobook update: Oh! My! Goodness! This duet narration is extraordinary! It is perfectly cast and fabulously performed!! I already loved these characters and their story but, wow, does the audiobook take it to a whole new level. It’s definitely in the running for my top audiobook of the year. I bawled at the “pick me.” You need this in your life!
🤩 The bar setup—fun and amazing friends.
🤩 The map of all the good places in town, in all its Sharpie drawn goodness.
🤩 I’m a sucker for a chemistry driven one night stand—so hot! “I’m not going to f- you to help you get over your ex.” “But if you come home with me, I guarantee you won’t remember his name in the morning.”
🤩 When Avery finds out Chris is Christian Damiano, the professional baseball player who plays for the Boston Revs, the team her dad coaches.
🤩 Forbidden, fun, and funny.
🤩 How Puff is totally the third MC in this beautiful story.
🤩 Christian Damiano, Dragon, is totally book boyfriend material. I love his patient love and friendship to Avery but also his sassy, sexy thoughts.
🤩 Avery Wilson is strong, smart, sweet, supportive and so very worth the wait of her year-long dating cleanse.
🤩 The characterization is fantastic! Chris and Avery are who they are—we adore them and feel so much love, longing, and lusty goodness for them.
🤩 The Christmas presents—awe!
🤩 I just love a sports romance with a PR plot
🤩 The Mom Coms character cameos. “If we see Brooks Langfield, I can’t promise I won’t fangirl all over that gorgeous man.” Same, girl, same!
🤩 It’s a slow burn that’s oh so worth it, with couch snuggles and self-love in the shower to get us by.
🤩 I cheered out loud when Chris said “Pull me.” And I bawled when Coach Daddy explained when he knew. All the feels!

What I’m Wishing/Dizzy About:
💫 I’ll be ready for more Revs when their stories are ready. 🙌🏻
💫 I’m begging you to give me Daddy Wilson and Wren! 🙏🏻 Update—THEY ARE HERE & available now—see Finding Out! 🙌🏻🙌🏻

Christian and Avery

This book may not be for everyone but I loved how cute it was. It was the perfect lovers to best friends and back to lovers story. It was a very slow burn for the main characters but I loved the connection they were able to obtain by becoming friends. I have read a lot of Smutty Romance but this gave it a change for once. It kept the romance slow but their storyline growing giving us a chance to meet their characteristics.

The book is about Avery and Christian. Avery is a vet at a local zoo and Christian is Boston's new Baseball Pitcher. They meet at a local bar, sparks fly and they have a one night stand. The following day Avery realizes who Christian is because her dad happens to be the coach for the baseball team. They meet again but this time they decide to become friends and get to know each other while Avery is taking some time off from dating. The story also introduces a little puff bird that becomes a favorite as their story continues through the book.

I was able to also catch the audio for this book and the Narrators did a FANTASTIC job bring Avery and Christian to life. Connor Crais is perfect to voice Chritian and Rose did fabulous by Avery. Both were perfect for the roles.

Overall, If you want a cute read that will give you the fluffs in the heart, this book is it. Do not expect much spice.

Puff daddy

This story was so cute and wholesome. Respecting someone’s plans. Treating a woman like pure gold. Ugh. Chefs kiss. Coming from the Brittanee Boston bolts world it was nice to see how this world is interconnected with it. This book was so sweet and hard to put down. The narrators were casted perfectly. I’ve never heard and audio with this female narrator before. She did a great job. I’m interested in hearing more of her stories.

This was a great start to this series.

This was a great start to this series. I loved the slow build up of their relationship. It was a nice change of pace to get to see on page they become friends and then more. The side plot with the puffin was so fun too. I also loved seeing characters from the Mom Coms coming back to play as well. The audiobook is also great.

I devoured it! It

The Fall Out completely captivated me from the first page. I devoured it! It bursts onto the scene with an exhilarating energy that draws you in immediately. I found myself utterly enchanted by the central couple: Avery and Christian's story is everything I have waited so long for! And boy, was it worth it! Avery, the coach's daughter, and Christian, the pitcher for the Revs, have chemistry off the charts from the moment they meet. But Avery's vow to stay single for a year? Oof, that adds even more tension. Christian, though — patient, swoony, and ready to wait for his shot — makes the slow burn worth it.

Chris's grumpy demeanor, while surprising, adds humor and charm to his character. Beneath his harsh exterior lies a kind and thoughtful personality, making him beloved by friends and family. His warm family dynamics enhance this charm, with each member contributing unique traits that create an endearing atmosphere. His affectionate bond with Avery highlights his softer side, transforming his grumpiness into something tender and relatable, which makes him a memorable character.

Avery is like a refreshing breeze, exuding positivity that effortlessly lightens Chris's grumpy attitude. Even with his peculiarities, she infuses their relationship with charming warmth, and Chris's patience in embracing her joyful nature allows her to feel truly comfortable. I admire his respect for her choice to take a year off dating to pursue her dreams, reflecting his profound understanding of her journey. Their intense connection sizzles, leaving me eager to discover more of their story!

Puff, the charming addition to the cast, truly steals the spotlight with his delightful antics! It was a joy to reconnect with the Langford family and reminisce about the reasons I fell in love with Jenni's writing in the first place. Her storytelling pulls you in, and now I find myself eagerly anticipating the adventures and surprises waiting in the upcoming books of this series!

Connor Crais and Rose Dioro proved to be outstanding choices for their respective roles, embodying the characters with remarkable skill. The duet narration was nothing short of brilliant; once I pressed play, I was utterly captivated and unable to stop listening! The chemistry between their voices was enchanting, creating a seamless blend that made the story come alive. Avery and Christian's love confessions were my absolute favorites, filled with raw emotion and genuine depth. Connor delivered a heartfelt and vulnerable portrayal of Christian, his pleading resonating with every word, while Rose infused Avery with delightful surprise and palpable emotion that truly melted my heart. The narrators executed that pivotal scene with incredible finesse, capturing the essence of the entire audiobook experience. Their performances brought an unparalleled vibrancy to the narrative, revealing aspects of the story that no one else could have illuminated as brilliantly.

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to Jenni and her incredible team for the exceptional ALC. It was a remarkable kickoff to what promises to be an exciting new series. I am genuinely looking forward to continuing this journey together very soon!
