Interesting

I got this ARC via audiobook boom and this is my voluntary review. This is another story in a series of how the men in the west got their brides. I loved this one very much. She started out as a nun and ended up a beloved bride. The twists and turns that got her there were filled with suspense and humor. The way the author showed how ill will and greed can turn people into terrors was very well done. I also liked how the author demonstrated what indulging our children's every whim can turn them into. The narrator was very good and pulled all of the emotions out of the words. This was another very well developed story.

Finding a Family

A very sweet story. The narrator did a great job. These are a wonderful series of sweet clean western stories. Jessie found Laura in a holdup and protected her. Laura was going to be a nun having grown up in an orphanage and never having a family. God had other plans. I was given a copy for an honest review. I highly recommend this story.

What's to Become

Interesting story. I enjoyed the book, but the narrator was a little off. Sister Mary Clare was attacked on a train and is rescued by Jessie. Not knowing what to do with her, he takes her home. Now, Sister Mary Clare has only known life at an orphanage, no family. Staying with Jessie and his family is the best thing to happen to her. She loves being part of family. Since, she hasn't taken her final vow yet, she is falling for Jessie. Of course, nothing is that easy. More trouble along the way, for all of them.
I was given a copy of the book by the author for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this book. It's my favorite in the series, so far. I liked the characters, and
it had a entertaining plot. This is the second book in the Hearts of Hayes seried, and I'm
anxious to see what's coming next. Great job by Ms Goss and narrator Persephone Rose.

The Twists and Turns of Life and Love

Laura is a novice nun getting ready to take her final vows. Being a nun is all she knows so she does not question any other kind of life until she is taken hostage while on a train. This terrifying situation starts a turn of events that shows Laura that she just may not be destined for the church.

Rancher Jesse Collins is Laura's rescuer. But along with her rescue, Laura sees a completely different kind of life and she likes it very much.

Love brings Laura and Jesse together, but they must also face plots of jealousy, a family secret and yes, the church to find love.

Barb writes a great second book of her spin-off Hays series. Strong characters and a good plot line made the book enjoyable. Persephone Rose did a good job telling the story though I personally felt that Laura's "voice" to be much weaker as a character and not as accurate than the written book (this could just be a preference thing though).

Note: This book was given to me and I voluntarily have left this honest review.
