Many thumbs up from Kate’s newest fan
I just finished this, the first of Kate Morton’s books that I have read.
I love the way that Kate helps the reader to feel, here, smell and almost taste, the reality of her characters lives as they unfold. The plot is complex, and takes a little bit of conscious effort to re-orient yourself between the shifting time frames and characters, but it is well worth the effort. I am looking for another of Kate’s books right this minute!

My first from Kate Morton, not my last! involved and complicated enough to keep my interest, but well told so with that it was not convoluted and hard to follow. Carolyn Lee did an exceptional job with narration.

Winding vines of a mysterious search for ones roots
This well written story moved slowly and methodically through the joys and surprises of finding ones roots. The characters come to life as they each share in their parts of the tale. You will enjoy it immensely as did I.
