Surprises at every corner!

Unpredictable with surprises at every corner! Each character well described and beautifully read. This is one I couldn’t put down. The endearing interaction of each character is heart warming and refreshing!

Light and easy story. Perfect for a vacation read. Book two in the series. Read them all.

I felt like Willow was immature- more like a teenager than an adult. Other characters were well developed.

the storyline

I loved reading The Game Changer. But I think the book was way too short!

Standing by my assertion...

that Maggie Miller didn't write this series. Her books have the same formula and the exact same style. Regardless of the plot, the characters will do something and you will get every single step of the process. You will hear that someone is buying a house so you will then hear about talking with the agent, driving to the agent, each house they look at, how the house was laid out, what color every single thing in the house was, the fact that they rode in a golf cart, etc. If they go out to eat, you will hear every single moment of the date from washing hair, putting on make up, walking to the car, driving to the restaurant, walking in, being greeted, the wait person arriving and speaking, and then every freaking step of ordering, receiving, eating, getting refills, being offered dessert, paying, and then walking back to the car, driving home and all that's involved in getting ready for bed. While entertaining in a brain candy kind of way, there is consistently an immaturity to the writing.

Not so with this series. As I said with the first book, either she's taken the single best writing course ever offered or someone else is writing. This series has a completely different style and is well written. Other than being situated on the water and having a plot point similar to the Gulf Coast titles in common, you'd never believe they were written by the same person.

Really good so far. I'm looking forward to the next installment.

Take the time and read the series. Great book ties the first book in nicely. I love Maggie Millers book. I believe I have read them all. Wasn’t sure about this narrator , but it turned out fine. I get so invested in the characters in series books I never want them to be over. I always want to know more. Great store about life, love and loss.
