I want a sequel.
I loved the quiet, deliberate pacing of this novel. The setting and heroine are very different from my usual reads and I want to find out what happens to her quest now that an earlier mystery is solved.

This the only book translated to English
I sincerely hope their is a book 2
The narrator is absolutely wonderful her enunciation how she pronounced the names in Chinese spot on
The way she spoke each character was absolutely amazing very distinctive the book was mesmerizing. I couldn't stop hearing it and also reading it on my kindle. It's a riveting wonderful story and the narrator was the perfect person to read the book hoping the next book is narrated by Emily Woo. thank you

Wished it was longer!
Good story but what the heck. Her case never got solved. Plus their relationship just started to bloom and then the book ends?! Where's the second book? I demand a second book. I dislike open ended books like this.

Good series beginner
Some parts of the translation were awkward, but an interesting light mystery anyway. Had hoped for more Tang Dynasty culture, but was still enjoyable. It is obviously intended to be the first in a series, but haven’t been able to locate a book 2.
