I heard about this book on npr. (well I think it was npr) and just had to read it.
Don't worry about the death that kicks off the story there is tons of dog love in this book. It isn't about bad dogs only bad owners.

Didn't relate to the main character
The basic plot was good and the suspense was just about right. The main character was weak and whiny and that made her not very likable in my opinion. Made me just want to scream at her near the end. The narrator did a good job so the listen was good.

Narrator sounds like Betty White
This narrator sounds way too old for this book. There are several circumstances where she hooks up with random strangers at bars and goes back to their place, and it’s all narrated by a Betty White sound-a-like. It’s very unsettling.

Don't Waste Your Money
Bad story. Bad reading. If I could give less than 1 I would. Didn't like the main character. She had nothing to fall in love with. And the reader only made her weak, wimpiness worse. I slogged through, but only because I didn't have a better book to listen to at the time.
