About this listen
Jael Wheeler’s life in Philadelphia turns upside down with the tragic loss of her father, who leaves her penniless. To survive, Jael becomes a Mail Order Bride. Upon finding a man willing to marry her, Jael heads for Montana, only to discover her fiancé has fled, chasing another woman to Denver.
Monty Stone, in Fort Riggins, Montana, isn’t interested in marrying. Yet, while staying at the town’s boarding house, he finds a lonely and beautiful Jael and becomes her friend.
A mysterious cowboy haunts Jael, following her and watching her every move. Women are going missing, and rumor has it, they’re being sold to miners.
Monty takes Jael to visit the homestead he’s awaiting the deed on. A violent snowstorm traps them in the cabin overnight, deepening their affection. Upon their return to town, Jael once again notices the cowboy watching her.
Monty’s deed comes in, and he moves to the cabin. When Jael is kidnapped by the mysterious man, can Monty track her down in time to rescue her?

Story
Declan O'Bryan left Ireland to seek his fortune in the New World, but the journey was long for a man without a penny to his name. It took years of back-breaking work as a sailor and a journeyman for him to finally reach Montana, and to have enough money to his name to earn the title of proud homesteader. There's only one thing missing from his life now, and, unlike the boys in town, he's not convinced a man should find a wife in a catalog, the same way he buys a plow.

Story
An exciting new Amish-meets-Wild West adventure from bestselling authors Lori Copeland and Virginia Smith weaves an entertaining and romantic tale for devoted fans and new readers. Kansas,1881--On a trip to visit relatives, Emma Switzer's Amish family is robbed of all their possessions, leaving them destitute and stranded on the prairie. Walking into the nearest trading settlement, they pray to the Lord for someone to help. When a man lands in the dust at her feet, Emma looks down at him and thinks, The Lord might have cleaned him up first. Luke Carson, heading up his first cattle drive, is not planning on being the answer to anyone's prayers, but it looks as though God has something else in mind for this kind and gentle man. Plain and rugged--do the two mix? And what happens when a dedicated Amish woman and a stubborn trail boss prove to be each other's match?

Exactly what I wanted
An easy to listen to audiobook. I enjoyed the story with my 2 teenagers during car trip, without worry of any raunch! That’s rare! They even wanted to finish the story with me after we got home.
There were no extreme surprises here really. I don’t mind. The description and title told me exactly the kind of story it would be.
The narrator did a wonderful job, sounded easy-going, and moved the story right along at a comfortable pace.
The Handsome Boarder is just right for light hearted entertainment.

I'm hooked on all these Cowboys
Love these books! I've fallen for every one of the townsfolk. And the narration brings each character its own personality to the forefront. Loved it!
