Geronimo, the fierce Apache war chief in the days of the wild west, was known as a blood thirsty savage that ravaged both the Mexicans and the White Men in countless bloody raids. But what were his motivations? Why did he seek bloodshed and revenge? In this dramatic true story, Geronimo accounts for his people's perspective which was full of loss and hardships during a turbulent and lawless period of American history.
Geronimo illustrates the bloody battles on both fronts between the Mexicans and the White Men that were descending upon their native lands in what was Sonora Mexico in the 1800s and is now southeastern Arizona Cochise County today.
He also explains much of their culture, including the Apache origin story, how the natives lived their lives including games, agriculture, hunting, and celebrations.
In the end, Geronimo surrenders and considers it one of his biggest life regrets as their people suffered greatly in imprisonment and were removed far away from their Arizona native lands.
By listening to this book, you will learn much about the Apache culture and life, the wrongs done to their people, wild west history, and how these times have shaped the United States as they are today.
