Publisher's summary

In the long-awaited, epic conclusion to the mega-best-selling Peaceful Warrior trilogy, with over three million copies in print, Dan Millman takes listeners on a spiritual saga based on his own experiences, traveling the world to uncover a mystery that reveals the link between everyday life and transcendent truths.

Continuing his journey from Way of the Peaceful Warrior and Sacred Journey of the Peaceful Warrior, Dan Millman moves from Honolulu to the Mojave Desert, from a bustling Asian city to a secluded forest, until he uncovers the mystery of The Hidden School. While traveling through continents, he reveals lessons of life hidden in plain sight - a link between everyday reality and transcendent truths pointing the way to an inspired life in the eternal present.

Throughout this saga you'll meet remarkable characters and experience brushes with mortality as you explore the true nature of reality, the self, death, and a secret as ancient as the roots of this world. Awaken to the power of paradox, humor, and change.

The Hidden School contains a book within a book, a quest within a quest, a bridge between worlds.

Excellent

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes. It stands alone as a great adventure to the hidden schools around the world, but also within us, each and all... If you also are famillier with the other books, from which this one stems, this story is a great conclusion to Dan's adventure...

What other book might you compare The Hidden School to and why?

Way of The Peaceful Warrior and Sacred Journey of The Peaceful Warrior

What does Dan Millman bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I enjoy both and usually try to read a book first, which gives me the message through the filter of my own experience. After tha, I like to listen so as to widen my understanding. In the case of Dan's books, he reads them all himself. With his articulation and verbal emphasis here and there, I go past my own filter and tune in to his perspective. With this, I gain more understanding of the teaching.

Any additional comments?

I read this one twice so far and I love it! There's so much I would like to say, but I'll keep it short and sweet so as not to cause spoilers. I'lll just say that it was great to jump back into Dan Millman's story again! Spring boarding from the stories we know, this one brings back all the great qualities of those that came earlier, while introducing new characters and offering even deeper insights into what it means to live as a Peaceful Warrior...Enjoy it. I sure did! ~ David J Meredith

Good, Not Best

A good installment, but not near as good for me as the first two. He is kind of his own Master in this one, which is awesome... It really represents where he was at going into the end of his "Training," but it jus was not as intriguing as the settings and characters of the first two. Don't get me wrong, it's still a Dan Millman book and feels like it. Just wasn't... The same experience. At any rate, thank you thank you Dan for sharing your wisdom.

I can sense de peace and wisdom that the past years have given him. I want to thank Dan Millman deeply for sharing this. It has helped me throughout my journey and I will be forever grateful.

Read it once and listened twice so far. Love it.

Would you listen to The Hidden School again? Why?

This book holds deep truths about life hidden within a ripping good yarn. Dan Millman's first book in the series, The Way of the Peaceful Warrior, changed my life 30 years ago. This book, the completion of that saga, brings the journey full circle and is a remarkably satisfying conclusion with some incredibly important insights about how to get the most out of what's left. I'm so grateful to Dan Millman for creating this book and this series.

What did you like best about this story?

I really liked how these important life lessons were so easy to swallow because they was told in such an engaging story.

What about Dan Millman’s performance did you like?

Dan kept it simple. Read it well and with expression without trying to "act" it too much with annoying accents and that sort of distracting stuff.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

the secret to a life well lived

Not as good as the previous ones

It was a good book - but for the story only - It didn't have big life changing lessons like the previous two books of the series, it focused more on the story, which was a little disappointing. The second book was favourite, definately gonna hear them all 3 again.
