Publisher's summary

In this book Henry Lincoln proposes that there is a huge outdoor temple in the Languadoc region of France, surrounding a "Pentacle" of Mountains and prominently featuring the hamlet of Rennes-le-Chateau. This temple, according to the author, was built using the English units of mile and rod.

Editorial reviews

In The Holy Place: Sauniere and the Decoding of the Mystery of Rennes-le-Chateau, former Dr. Who writer Henry Lincoln continues the titillating historical conjecture that formed the basis of The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail, the inspiration for Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code. Throughout, narrator Gregory Nassif St John channels Lincoln's amazement with emphatic statements and dramatic pauses, as he first chances across a paperback novel called Le Trésor Maudit (The Accursed Treasure), and then slowly unravels the book's secret code revealing a massive outdoor temple in the Languedoc. Chilling and compelling, The Holy Place will cast a spell on listeners seeking the kind of intrigue they enjoyed in Dan Brown's popular story.

OMG! Henry Lincoln will bore the hell out of you.

Henry Lincoln spent his life going down a rabbit hole. He would like you to go with him to give his life meaning. I got both his books and have been unable to finish either one. He is an awful presenter of information. He will lose you in a whole chapter based on ambitious numbers. Terrible waste of time that goes no where.

Poor Reading

Narrator to me is so overly dramatic in his reading of another person’s work that his performance seriously detracts from the work itself. I stopped listening shortly after I started. I gave a one-star rating to the story because if we try to submit a review without giving a star rating in all three categories it won’t post. Lincoln may have written a great book. Please judge that for yourself.
