The lone survivor of a zombie apocalypse makes a chilling discovery in an abandoned hospital in this short story in the Mountain Man universe.

A survivor of undead suburbia, mountain man Augustus “Gus” Berry is extremely careful when it comes to his actions and movements. R.C. Bray's narration makes this one almost...

...good. I'm not usually into profane paranormal post-apocalyptic horror sci-fi, but decided to listen because RC Bray was narrating and the short story was free. Bray is one of 8 narrators that are always worth listening to. He does not disappoint! It's worth listening to.

Best short story ever

Its doesn't have all the trappings of a complete story, there just isn't enough time for depth, many characters or complicated plot. But it does deliver exactly what it promises.

One guy in a desolate world, experienced, prepared and equipped to make it through the apocalypse. But this is what happens you break a couple of survival rules and just must have that toilet paper! Warning, this story and the rest of the series is gruesome.

This book is free and therefore perfect to read before buying the series so you know what you are getting into. I also think you should read it first, because it is mentioned briefly in the first paid book of the series.

Bring on the Gore

Hilarious and horrifying at the same time. If you think the zombie storyline has been worn thin, try this one, and change your mind.

Great drive listen for zombie lovers!

R.C. Brays narration is perfect for this post apocalyptic zombie filled story! Raspy & raw voice to match the story line!!

👍

Overall this is the best short story I’ve ever heard. It’s not for the faint of heart (being based on the undead & all). Gus is one of my favorite characters. Tough, moral, smart and strong. The narrator is also of the finest quality, just perfect for this book. Well written and worth the listen. I also enjoyed mountain man.

5 stars are a must

I loved how descriptive the book was. I almost makes you feel like you are right in the hospital with Gus to experiencing what he was going through.

love it and the rest of the series

I love the fact that he uses "alternative" zombies in his books. this is a great reason for why he hates hospitals
