Publisher's summary

"Pratt's richly developed characters are vivid and believable, especially the strong Southern women who fight their male-dominated culture from behind a facade of vulnerability." (Publishers Weekly)

Books one through four in Scott Pratt's iconic Joe Dillard series are offered in a bundle.

An Innocent Client: In this best-selling debut, criminal defense lawyer Joe Dillard has become jaded over the years as he's tried to balance his career against his conscience. Savvy but cynical, Dillard wants to quit doing criminal defense, but he can't resist the chance to represent someone who might actually be innocent. His drug-addicted sister has just been released from prison and his mother is succumbing to Alzheimer's, but Dillard's commitment to the case never wavers despite the personal troubles and professional demands that threaten to destroy him.

In Good Faith: In the second book of the iconic Joe Dillard series, it's up to newly minted prosecutor Joe Dillard to convict Satan-worshipping teens accused of committing heinous crimes. A former defense attorney who spent way too much time defending people he knew were guilty, Joe is determined to win this case to atone for his past. But an evil young woman named Natasha is responsible for the slayings, and Joe knows it. Natasha is walking around free because the two boys who have been arrested are too terrified to implicate her. Now Joe must risk everything—including his family's safety and his own life—to bring an evil murderer to justice.

Injustice For All: In the third book of the best-selling Joe Dillard series, Dillard finds himself in the middle of two volatile mysteries. The primary suspect in a local judge's murder is Dillard's son's best friend, and Dillard's wife may have destroyed evidence. Meanwhile, a missing girl turns out to be a mystery far deeper than anyone imagined....

Reasonable Fear: In the fourth installment of the best-selling Joe Dillard series, Dillard has become the district attorney in Northeast Tennessee. He becomes heavily involved in a local murder investigation with Sheriff Leon Bates and soon realizes that he is up against an enemy that he has never before encountered—someone so rich and so powerful that the course of justice could be altered by money and political influence. But when bodies start showing up in his driveway and his family is threatened with termination, Dillard must ask himself how far he's willing to go. His life, and the lives of his family, depend on the answer.

All four of the novels are consistently among the top 25 best sellers in legal thrillers, and all four are among the most highly rated novels on Amazon. Enjoy an incredible value that will offer you more than 30 hours of pleasure and entertainment.

INTENSE... AUTHENTIC... QUITE WELL DONE

High marks for seriously great writing, character development, dialogue, narrative and story. Narration is simply superb with real accents and genuine female sounding females. No fluff filler sidebars. This is the real deal from a real deal writer and storyteller. My first Scott Pratt. I am most grateful to discover Mr Pratt and saddened to learn of his untimely passing. I now have access to the treasure trove of his bibliography. AND a new voice actor to add to my favorite list. 👌👌👌👌👌

Good listen

Joe Dillard is a very real and very likable character. The first four books were each very different and hard to put down. I will certainly read more.

Good but gory

This is a great legal thriller, but not for the faint of heart. The author does not spare the reader/audience of the gory details of the crimes.

Air Force with a complex

Overall, it’s a pretty good series. I think he changed the reader after the first book or I just got used to him. At first he was very annoying. Also he talks too much about the importance of being taller and he talks about what it’s like to be in combat and how you don’t bring things home from your military experience. As a guy that saw his share of combat I can say it’s very cliché to say that if you saw combat you don’t have your military stuff displayed and it’s even a bigger cliché to say that you never talk about it. That’s not reality. Truth is plenty of soldiers don’t talk about it and plenty of others do especially with other soldiers. It never bothered me to talk about it and my counselor says it’s good. Clancy he is not but he did a pretty decent job with military stuff and an even better job with the legal stuff.

Joe Dillard

I’m very glad I discovered Scott Pratt.
There were parts that made me cry and some very pleasant times as well.me
The relationship shared by Joe and his wife brought many sweet memories of the great marriage my husband and I shared.
I thoroughly enjoyed each book.
Also kudos to the Narrator does an excellent job. I look forward to listening to other books he has worked on as well.

Soooooo goooood!!!

The author and the narrator really pull you into to the lives of the characters and you feel like you are right there. I found myself yelling at Joe out loud and people around me looking at me like I’m crazy! I love Joe but I think my favorite reoccurring character in this series of 4 books was hands down the owner of the Mouse’s Tail, Arlene. She is so sassy! I sure hope she will be part of the next set.

Each story made the development better

At first, I thought this is a one dimensional character study because they were all just white folks, blue-eyed blondes, etc. but by the third story he started bringing in other cultures and it became fully fleshed out stories which helped Joe Dillard become better understandable. Excellent!
