About this listen

Atlanta's elite gather together at the wedding of the year.

When a high-end hooker crashes the party and ends up dead, shameful secrets of prominent men hang in the balance. The kind of secrets that get folks killed.

Chance Meridian and his murder squad soon learn that the dead woman had a penchant for playing dangerous games with the wrong people. Powerful people—including a United States Senator whose decades-old hatred of Chance still burns hot. As past and present converge to put him in a vise, Chance discovers a hard truth about his line of work.

Some cases can only be solved at the point of a gun.

A standalone thriller in the bestselling Atlanta Murder Squad series, The Just and the Unjust is a pulsating mystery that will keep you hooked until the suspenseful end.

Perfect

A great series that keeps getting better. As a southerner, I can relate to the family entanglements so well imagined here. Lots of action and many plot twists, all centered around a very human hero. Bravo!

Excellent murder mystery in series

This installment in the Atlanta Murder Mystery Club series could easily wrap up the series with answering a lot of the questions from previous books. It was the best performed off the series by George Newbern and quite enjoyable. Definitely a must read for anyone who loves this series!

Had me from beginning to end

I love this book listened to it twice since it came out. holy cow what an amazing listen. I couldn't and didn't put it down. Made me laugh, made me cry ,and surely had me at the edge of my seat waiting to hear what's next. and what a turn at the end did not see that coming. my new favorite voice it was like the author was reading this. I can't say enough about this book I just love it. living in sc I've been to Savannah a couple of times it's as beautiful as it is creepy. and I love it.

Great Storyline

I absolutely enjoyed listening to this book. I must admit that when I started to listen to this series, I was put off by the southern accent but it eventually grew on me and I fell in love with Chance Meridian, his accents, his faith, his love for family and the way he solves his cases.

I feel like the book starts off slow but the information is necessary to tie in the story. Book 5 did not disappoint and ended with a surprise. I did not want to leave my car until the end.

Another good twist.

I love these books. The stories are creative and believable, and this was no exception. As a resident of suburban Atlanta and a native of the city, McMillian does a good job of describing the city and its outskirts and I can picture all of it as George Newbern tells the tale. I can’t wait for another one!!

This was the best one yet

I really enjoy this series which is a combination of police procedural and legal thriller. Great narration as well. Will wait patiently for the next one.
