Publisher's summary

A full update, refresh and augmentation to ‘The Last 9 Conclaves: 1903 to 2005’ that was published ahead of the 2013 conclave to now include details of Pope Francis’ election as well as additional background material. Refer to the ‘Table of Contents’ accessible through the ‘Look Inside’ feature. This book details the last ten (10) papal conclaves, 2013 to 1903, in a consistent format with information about: dates, duration, location, constitution, Camerlengo, Dean, size of the College of Cardinals, eligible electors, electors participating, composition of the electors, electability requirement, background considerations, primary papabili, ballots, sfumata (smoke events), electee, supposed voting and notes for each. The initial version of this body of work originally appeared as Appendix C of this author’s 'The Next Pope' book. Much was added to this May 2013 edition to make it even more comprehensive. The book is likely to contain some ‘typos’ when it comes to spelling and grammar given that the author’s middle name is ‘typo’. As If the ‘typos’ bother you please return the book and get a full refund – rather than complaining about it. Go find another book on the subject without ‘typos’. Latest update May 8, 2013.
