Markus of Nineveh has had his fair share of tragedies. Having no memory of a mother, a father slayed by a Hunter of Baron Ovid, and his sister Ruth is now plagued by an ancient disease not seen since before the New Age began a millennium ago. With no one able—or willing—to help, Markus is forced to make ends meet and care for Ruth himself, a difficult task for one still so young.

One night, Markus is approached by an ancient spirit in his dream, who tells him of a kingdom lost in-between fable and legend; a city hidden among the clouds, away from the Northern Wastelands wrought with radiation, monsters, and war. It is here where Markus is promised peace, tranquility, and, more importantly, a cure for his little sister.

Now Markus must make a decision. Will he risk the dangerous and cold wastelands with sick Ruth and his new friend, Ashlyn, in order to face the dangers between here and the kingdom no one has ever found? Will he risk being hunted by bounty hunters and mutants in the wintery world outside Nineveh's high walls? Is there even a chance that the City of Angels even exists?

Or will Markus lose everything he has left in this world because of a dream?

About the Author

B.D. Weddell is a young author from the northwest. Whenever he is not spending time writing or being with the ones he loves, he enjoys playing guitar and has a particular interest in computers and gaming. Having always been a bookworm, he came right out of college with a desire to share his own stories with the world.

He has a particular taste for fantasy, and one of his favorite authors and inspirations is Stephen King.

A great sci fi story if you love fantasy

Been following BD for a while and this is definitely a good one for a younger audience the characters are amazing and the action keeps you glued to your seat. A good hidden gem if you ask me

really good story. could see a lot of influences, with stuff from Game of Thrones and more. Gabe did a great job in the narration though felt areas could use more polish

A gripping fantasy novel.

This is an excellent listen for fans of both fantasy and post-apocalyptic fiction. It blends elements of tragedy, adventure, and hope into a thrilling journey through a post-apocalyptic world.

Unexpected after unexpected

The book was surprising to say the least. So many unexpected turns! Every time you think it will go one way it surprises you and goes elsewhere. The narrator is great. Many different voices and characters are easily imagined during his reading. Loved it all. Can’t wait for the part 2!

Page-turner!

The Legend of Levitika is a total page-turner! The concept of a floating city filled with mutants and bounty hunters is incredibly captivating. Add to that the heart-wrenching plot of a young man searching for a cure for his sick sister while navigating this dangerous world, and you've got a recipe for an addictive listen.

An amazing story about a young man who enters a foreign city to find a cure for his sister's rare sickness. In this journey, you hear of a young man who fights to find peace, strength, and understanding. Well done you guys. Well done.

Well narrated too

This book's a total blast!

Man, this book is straight-up fire! I found it when I was bored and craving some sick fantasy action. And wow, it totally delivered. The story's got me seriously hooked—like, who wouldn't be into a hidden city in the clouds?

I legit stayed up way too late 'cause I couldn't stop reading. It's packed with everything—action, emotions, and just the right amount of mystery. If you like fantasy with a post-apocalyptic twist, you’ve got to read this. You won’t regret it!

Love it!

This story was definitely a commitment at nearly 20 hours, but it was totally worth it. The characters were rich and the plot had so many unexpected twists that kept me hooked the entire time. The journey was long but the narrator did a fantastic job bringing the characters to life, adding depth to an already engaging tale. If you're into fantasy with a mix of action and heartfelt moments, this one is definitely worth a listen.
