About this listen

These survivors must confront the darkest secrets of their past....

Beaten, bloodied, and barely alive, the survivors of Black River’s cursed families have been cut off from their bloodlines for violating old traditions. But they continue their battle to end the evil of the Bell Witch and release the town from her reign of terror.

Pursued by the witch’s minions, the group takes shelter in the Leviathan, an abandoned opera house built a century ago. Its corridors exude supernatural power, and they soon discover that the haunted old building was designed for a very special purpose...to trap the Bell Witch within its walls.

But something else lurks within the ancient structure, something they never imagined in their darkest nightmares. And as the enemies close in, one of the survivors must risk their life in a devil’s bargain with this sinister presence.

Or none them will survive the night....

Don't miss this series!! A+++

What can I say? I'm in love with this series.

I'm a Supernatural Horror fanatic. Monsters, ghosts, phantoms, interdementional demons,.. you name it. I love it.

I picked up this series on a whim. read a couple reviews and saw the omnibus. Was it a good value? 1000% in retrospect i would have been absolutely satisfied with buying all 6 books with credits. hands down.

Sarah Clancy brings the characters to life. Big time. Personalities, history, tendancies, likes dislikes, moods.. she paints the pictures. This is a series where you really get attached to the characters, which could mean attached to loving them, or hating them. but attached. Including, and especially, Buck. "The goodest boy of all good boys."

John Pirhalla is masterful in his delivery. Absolutely does great with various male and female voices, and quite a lot of them. Has a great range without having to make any sound just odd because he "ran out of voices". As a matter of fact he even nails a pretty tough accent in book 6. I rewound more than a few times just to hear Pirhalla's delivery on some random line. just stuff that made me smile. he's clearly a vocal artist.

The writing is done well, Friends in college called me "the grammar hammer" and it sticks with me to this day. I didnt catch a lot of odd words thrown in, try hard thesaurus stuff out of place, repeated phrases. Nothing odd really popped out at me as far as writing.

As far as content. Sarah paints a nice dark overall mood across, with plenty of humor and oddball things thrown in without getting ridiculous, i mean these are younger people/teenagers so they're bound to be silly at times, and she blends it in well. Laugh out loud a few times even. The supernatural aspects are eerie, spooke, scary, gross, haunting, startling, creative, big, small, horrific. i mean she checks off a lot of boxes in here. Each of the 6 books builds upon the previous, and with always something new. a new take on the adventure with new challenges and new events. The leviathan was great as it changes pace on the type of location much of it takes place in. none of the books felt like there was too much time taken in between where it felt disjointed, or felt forced like she had to put something out. just a great written plot and story.

I really can't say enough, in love with these books. I think the characters really shine. She paints them so well that you can empathize with all of the main characters and step into their shoes.

pick up the omnibus for a credit, it's a steal and you won't be sorry.

*Im leaving this review on each installment because im not big on talking about plot points in my review, im not giving a synopsis. and this review absolutely fits for each book, sarah clancy is masterful and john pirhalla delivers. in. each. one. A+

LOVE THIS SERIES

John's narration makes these characters just come to life. Sara did a great job of throwing in some wrenches and dead ends along the way. Want to have books to keep you stuck to your chair - read all of the Bell Witch Series.... it does not disappoint

wow

Cut off from their families, what happens next will amaze you. Invested in the bond these 4 have with eachother, and the way they take care of each other while doing things that you would never imagine.

Great Entertainment and Charters

This series was a great break from all the craziness from this last year. I've listened to each book. I would love to see a TV show based on this.

Awesome book!

This book had me hanging on for more. Suspense is my weakness, and I was hooked by book 1! The storyline picks up where it left off in the previous book, just as if there was no break! I have mixed feelings about reading the next book! I can’t wait to read it, though I’m sad that it’s the last in the series. Nothing against the book, but Audible itself! When they are slow about releasing books, and yes, it was Audible that was slow, not the Author or publisher, avid readers can get through close to 100 unrelated books before they get the chance to get back into this storyline, and readers have to refresh their memories so they aren’t lost. Audible is doing authors, publishers, and their readers a disservice by delaying the releases of books.
